I had a lot of small room acoustic issues as well as speaker placement problems but Douk audio t8 pro equilizer banished all the issues i had , i strongly recommend this product

I’ve just received my T8 Pro and am really pleased with it.There seems some confusion between this 7 band equaliser and the previous 5 band one-not helped by calling them both T8!My Pre/Power Amps are all valve and so the Douks 2 valves/Tubes peaking out of the Equaliser suit me as the rest of mine are hidden. Perhaps I’m in the other camp of thinking-Oh no I’ve got solid state in the chain now! 😂 .My main concern was is it going to degrade the signal and I’m pleased to say that I can’t notice that.It’s a big improvement for me as my system was rather sharp and edgy sounding, especially on vocals. Having the 2KHz adjuster I can now see that’s where the problem stemmed from-although you can’t totally eradicate a bad recoding but it does make it more acceptable. I like the volume control as my preamp used to take off volume wise at the slightest touch-saves having to use attenuators. Another good thing is my preamp has 2 separate volume controls and it’s great using just one now. Also I appreciate the recessed balance control as one of my channels was slightly louder and it narked me staring at the very slightly different volume positions. It wouldn’t be solved by reposition the preamp knobs etc so this is an easy solution and seems more pleasing having the control recessed as you tend not to be so concerned about its position.I love it and the gentle glow of the valves.I purchased mine direct from Douk Audio( China) as Amazon didn’t sell this model then (£114 !).Update-I did change the valves/tubes using the same type (NOS) from a Ukrainian EBay supplier. It gave a warmer sound which I preferred.Also the equaliser solved a small earth loop hum between my pre and power amps 👍.
