Life in Ancient Mexico Coloring Book (Dover Ancient History Coloring Books)

beautifully illustrated pictures and symbols, just wish there was a bit more explaining what the symbols are or what we are looking at.

Bought this for my grandma who is losing some cognitive functions. This company has a whole series of coloring books for adults. She LOVES them. They have nice little stories at the bottom and the scenes are interesting enough to keep her attention. I sent these books with some nice new colored pencils and she has really taken to them! Coloring and doodling can be quite therapeutic and meditative. She also enjoys word search puzzles but this is a nice change of pace, and especially nice when her mind isn't working as well or she isn't feeling well. The whole series of books is highly recommended. Send your grandma a package -- she'll love them! :-)

Just a coloring book. Nothing special. We homeschool and when I am reading to my kid they color to help them focus instead of flipping and flopping around.

We love this book! All of the Dover books are packed with information and amazing coloring pictures. My 4th grade son loves these books, but my 1st grade daughter thinks they are too detailed for her;) We use them as a supplement to our homeschooling. The kids color while I read and they love it!

What a n excellent books to learn from but to paint Dover books are excellent books.

We have several of these coloring books for Home-School study and I have never been unhappy with a single one. They are Amazing, Detailed and provide perfect little bites of information. Perfect for when I am reading or we are listening to a history audio book.

Item arrived with some damage, cosmetic in nature, but otherwise acceptable.

I wish it wasn't double sided as I can't use ink or marker without bleed through, but other than that one gripe this is an excellent "grownup"/educational coloring book.

I'm a high school teacher and this one has proved to be a great aid to help my students visualize how earlier civilizations lived. At first I thought they'd find coloring childish, but all my groups have loved it, they get very calm and focused. Since they have to pay attention to what they're coloring, I think the activity makes them observe more in-depth than if I just projected a movie or a picture.The ink is super black and the drawings are very accurate and pretty to look at; they also have a footnote in each drawing specifying what's pictured, including the culture and approximate dates. 10/10 would recommend if you're a teacher or history/antropology aficionado.

We bought this for our history studies for homeschool. My 6-year-old has this to say: "This is not a book for beginner colorers because it has lots of detail, but the finished pictures are great. If you have a beginner, I suggest you get another book, but this is great for older colorers. If you are planning to go on a trip, this is great, because it had really detailed pictures and it will take a long time to color it. I loved it so far..." It is indeed a detailed book (which is engaging enough for adults who want to color), but she has been fine with it. It is great for learning history, as the pictures convey historical events, and each page has a short summary of the event and time. Even if you don't color all the pages, it is fun to read. We love it.
