It works with ios17
20231014I got a few times that the music does not go to the car speakers but it is an easy fix, I just pull the usb of this and re-connect it, when I used to start the car every morning with remote start, 100% the music would not go to car and I needed to re-plug the usb on the iPhone to reboot the airplay connection. I still love this wireless Apple CarPlay, I can’t go back to wire apple carplay, I also purchased the MagSafe charging car mount from Lisen, it is 1 hand control to get on and leave the car now!20230922So I have been waiting until there is ios17, so it works great! I like it so far so I can finally go with MagSafe charging instead of the slow USB A.This upgrade cost me $90+40 for the MagSafe charging mount but it’s worth it.I know we are not supposed to watch YouTube while driving, this is for testing, there is delay but it doesn’t matter since we won’t watch it while driving unless you park and watch video a lot then this might bother you.I have a 2019 Tiguan and after reserve and it switches back to airplay smoothly.I didn’t count how long it takes to connect when I start the car and it’s really not much and I can’t tell the different between wire and wireless airplay.

Worked for 6 months then stopped connecting
Worked fine with my MB SprinterIts has some annoying features that make it a little frustrating, but connected to music and maps perfectly. Then 6 months later it stopped connecting to my phone. Did a software update and now it only connect to music - no Google or Apple Maps for navigation.I can’t recommend this device with only 6 months of useful life.

Good quality, elegant design
Setting up this device was a breeze. Although I encountered a black screen on my first attempt, it connected perfectly on my second try. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and reliability of the device, even when my phone was in my pocket. Unlike other dongles I've tried, this one worked seamlessly with my Volvo C40. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this product and would highly recommend it.

2023 jeep JL. Problem with controls
There is a roughly 2 second delay when changing the tracks, but its a minor issue. The real problem is the audio controls on my steering wheel don't work properly when I start my car with either iphone USB connected directly or through the U2-Air. I can unplug the phone and plug it back again to reset, but it's not doable with this adapter (have to reset, reconnect everything). It's 100% Uconnect/Stellantis issue, and my dealer could not fix it. I ended up replacing the 7inch audio with something that already has a wireless carplay, returned the adapter. Great customer service - no issues with return.

Better The Expected
This device had the best professional reviews (outside of Amazon) so I decided to give it a try to transform my car's wired CarPlay into wireless. The device itself is fairly small and came with two cords: one with a USB-C end and the other with a traditional USB end. Set up couldn't have been easier; I plugged it into my car, turned my car on, opened Bluetooth settings on my phone and followed the prompts to pair.So far, it's working as expected. The interface looks identical to the installed wireless CarPlay in my other car and functions exactly the same way. I've encountered one instance where the content from my phone wasn't being played through my car, but that has happened a few times with my factory installed wireless CarPlay in the other car, so I think this is just how it is. A simple closing of the app I was using and re-opening fixed it right away. So, in summary, I recommend this product! It does what it says and it works well.

Okay if you don't share a car with someone
This device does give you wireless CarPlay. And the lag--which is there in spite of advertising to the contrary--isn't bad. The problem for people like me who share a car with someone else is that, if your partner has used the device from their phone before you, you have to reconnect your phone. This means that I can't just leave my phone in my pocket. I have to take it out and go to the bluetooth settings and reconnect. That's less convenient than just connecting the wire, especially for my wife. And the wired sound quality is much better with no lag. So, if you don't share a car this might work for you.

Works great, with a few annoying quirks
Love this product and desperately wanted to give it 5 stars... but crashes when using backup/lane assist cameras make it tough to use this over wired carplay. The product was easy to install on my honda CR-V. I connected the unit to the Cars USB port, paired it to my iphone and after about a minute it all connected. After the initial connection, the unit connected very quickly when turning the car on, ten seconds or so. All car play functions work as well as they did over the hard wired USB cable i used prior. there is a two second delay when skipping songs, but i also experienced this when i was using wired car play.PROS: Reliable connections, good speed/performance, consistent reconnectionsThe device exceeded my expectations from a reliability and performance standpoint. I had feared it would be a hassle to re-pair or reconnect when turned the car on or off but that wasnt the case, the unit always reconnected without issue. there is also a button to disconnect the current connected phone so a spouse or another iphone user can connect back and forth.CONS: device display goes black/crashes after using backup or lane assist camerasAnytime i put the car in reverse which triggers the backup camera [which works fine] once i go back in park or drive car play never comes back up. its just a black screen and i need to unplug/replug the usb or restart the car to get it to work again. The same is true for the lane assist side camera when i put the right directional on.This is a major annoyance. luckily there is an option to turn off lane assist so i dont have it crash anytime i change lanes or make a right turn but the backup camera always makes it crashI have reached out to support, hopefully the respond and can issue a bugfix.
