Works great and has a remote
Well made and helps organize all my electronics on one hdmi Channel on the tv. My kids can even use it with ease. Made of metal and very sturdy feeling. Came with a remote too.

Works well, no noticeable drop in quality.
Had for several months now to keep several game consoles connected to a single HDMI on the television. All the ports have something connected and works fine at auto detection provided multiple devices aren't powered on at the same time (but the remote or manual selection still work well). Feels pretty sturdily built and haven't noticed any lag in the picture. Sound and picture so far seem great.

Great value, with one caveat
First off, this is the cheapest HDMI splitter I could find with this many ports. Good part is, they all work fine, and you get a remote as a bonus. The potentially bad depending on use case is that this is obviously HDMI 1.4. Meaning the max resolution you can get is 4k at 30fps. Splitters also don't play nicely with any visual enhancement HDMI can do such as VRR (which isn't supported on 1.4 anyway), so I would not recommend hooking this up to any video game console from ps4 onward as HDMI 2.0 is the minimum you'd want for those. What this IS great for, is hooking up retro consoles. I have a sega saturn, wii, and dreamcast hooked up to this, and it works fine. I tried hooking up my ps3, but the HDMI settings were acting weird, which led me to believe this may cause some issues.Overall, just know what you're buying. You shouldn't be using an HDMI splitter with a ps5/series x anyway but if you do, keep in mind this will totally lock you out of any and all HDMI 2.0 AND 2.1 features, so no 4k 60, no 120hz, no VRR. Good for a setup you don't use often or one featuring older devices.

Far better than expected for my use case
This review is specifically for the 8-port DGODRT (wow, what a name) HDMI switch. It does indeed work as advertised, with a couple of minor hiccups, but has a couple of "surprise" features that might make up for any shortcomings. As expected, pressing the buttons on the front of the unit will switch the input to the corresponding port, with a nice, satisfying "clicky" feel. So far, so good, but a step-up feature I discovered after using it is the auto switch functionality, which I didn't know it would do. How it works is that if you're watching a source and power that source off, the device will automatically search for the next active input and jump to that. Similarly, if you're watching one source and then power another source on, the switch will jump to that source. This seems to work very well, I've had it set up for about a week now and the behavior is consistent and predictable; for my setup, this is a very handy bonus. As far as the downsides: first off is the remote, which is not the one pictured with the unit. Instead, they've made a very bizarre decision to use what appears to be the shell of a Fire Stick (or similar) and relabeled the buttons with numbers, which makes for a kind of nonsensical layout (I'll try to include a photo). I mean, it works, but it reeks of "we have a thousand of these weird remote shells, what can we use them on?" I suppose I'll get used to the layout, but I'd have preferred something more... Sane, I guess? The other small hiccup is with my Xbox Series X: when I first booted it after it was connected, it defaulted to 640x480 mode with no obvious way to change it. After a bit of Googling, I found a fairly simple fix: go into Settings/General/TV and Display Options/Video Fidelity & Overscan/Overrides, and set the override to HDMI. This unlocks the Resolution setting on the TV & Display Options page, which can then be set as desired. This setting persists after restarts, so it should be good to go unless an update forces it to default or something, but even then it would be easy to fix.It should be noted at this point that the unit advertises its 4K output at 30fps, which is likely a deal killer for serious gaming. However, in my specific use case (which is an older, 1080p Sony display), it works beautifully, and at least appears to offer 60fps in 1080p mode. Please take this with a grain of salt, as I have no way to verify this at the moment: all I know is that everything I have, from ancient retro games to Cyberpunk, all look exactly the same as they did when my system was directly connected. No motion tearing, no strobing or artifacts. It really looks great. In conclusion, I've found this unit, despite its wonky remote, to be well worth its price, at least in my 1080p-locked setup, but serious 4K users (gamers in particular) will likely want to look elsewhere.

Garbage
I recently purchased the 5-Port HDMI Switch, hoping to streamline my home entertainment setup. Unfortunately, my experience with this device was far from satisfactory. After only using it twice, the switch completely failed, rendering it useless.Initially, the setup was straightforward and the switch seemed to function as expected. However, the joy was short-lived. On the third attempt to use it, the switch simply stopped working. There was no power surge or mishandling from my end; it just ceased to function. The build quality of the switch now seems questionable. It felt light and somewhat flimsy from the start, but I didn't expect it to fail so quickly. This is extremely disappointing, especially considering the price point, which I assumed would guarantee a certain level of quality and reliability. The failure of the device caused significant inconvenience, as I had to revert back to manually switching cables – the very hassle this product was supposed to eliminate. I'm currently in the process of seeking a refund or replacement, but the hassle has already left a sour taste.I cannot recommend the 5-Port HDMI Switch to others. Its lack of durability and reliability makes it a poor investment for anyone looking to simplify their AV setup. It's a reminder that sometimes, saving a bit of money on electronics can end up costing more in the long run, both in terms of money and convenience.

Eliminates plugging and unplugging cables to monitor, remote makes it easy select video.
Works well to manage inputs from 2 cell phones, 2 computers and security camera system. Remote control makes it easy to select video I want to see. Automatically goes to video when a device is added or turned on.

Solid little switch
Solid plug-and-play solution. Everything comes up just fine, and the switch passes traffic on all ports without issue.

Supports only 30 HZ outputs
A good product as long as the inputs are at 30 HZ or below. This product did not support my computer nor my 4K Blu-ray player.
