What first interested me here was the selectable UV light; I collect “depression glass”, which contains a quantity of uranyl nitrate. This substance enters a high-energy state when lit with UV, giving off an ethereal green glow. Now, I can walk along the aisles of any secondhand store or Goodwill and instantly ID depression glass just by shining the light on it. Beyond that, this is just a supremely bright light for a handheld torch needing only three AAA batteries. They last for a pretty long time, too. I’ve purchased them for all my vehicles and keep a couple of extras around the house and garage. They’re very useful for most applications. I’ve also given a couple as gifts, and everyone seems pretty happy with them.

Extremely bright. Will light up an area 25ft. What I mean is anything that lights up from blacklist stands out. We can light up a scorpion like it's been hit with phosphorus. They look white! Really! Only issue I had on one unit, was it rattled out of the box. Light flickered alot. If yours does. Open up the lense side and lightly pull up on the spring. It's not making a good connection. Otherwise you will freak out on all the stains everywhere in your house.

The media could not be loaded.  Did some testing today. I've purchased these in the past. While they are good for both light and UV light, and work well, they are still the cheaper version of a tactical light. Eventually the on/off button will fail. It's cheaply made. That's ok, I expect it. I can buy a slew of these for less than 1 top of the line tactical light. I don't care that I have to replace them periodically.I like the aluminum body. I like that it gives out great light and it can be focused. If only they had made the sketchy button switch better, for perhaps just a few bucks more, this would be an outstanding light.

This is not a toy. The power of this light makes it perfect for my work. I get a week perhaps out of a battery charge but only use the flashlight for a few seconds or up to a minute at a time. The light is very bright and dangerous to the eyes. It does get quite warm and seems to have a shutdown mechanism to protect the circuitry. Fluoresces minerals, oil, fibres, etc.Charger and cover are both good essentials and I keep the original box for storage.

I've owned 6 of these units. Of the 6, only one is still functioning 100% correctly.I use these for scorpion hunting, quite heavily, which I've done for a few years now.Pros - UV light is definitely bright enough to get the job done. I use rechargeable lithium 18650 batteries, occasionally single-use lithium batteries. I like having an all-in-one regular white light with UV, it keeps from having to carry two lights. They are easy to toggle, feel heavy duty. And...they are cheap, so I kind of count them as disposable. Cons - The lights tend to last about 6-8 months. I've had a couple of the white light led go out, a UV led go out, and the battery spring come loose inside. Also, all of them but one started doing a strange "shorting" out issue where they would blink off and on as though there was an electrical short somewhere, eventually dying altogether. I have never been able to trouble-shoot this issue. Checking all connections, there was never an obvious break. They were bought in batches of 2/2/2 over about a year and a half, several months apart, so I did not buy all 6 at the same time.Conclusion - I keep buying them, and use the older to repair the newer ones. I do use them heavily, probably 3-4 times a week with a couple of straight hours of use, switching between the lights frequently. More casual users may get more life from the units. With that in mind, I still buy them, even with other options available, hoping they address some of the faults eventually. I keep in mind the average life expectancy, but the price makes them affordable to count as a disposable unit.

This flashlight really makes those florescent soda lights pop!! Will have to wait till nicer weather to review battery life. Very nice case for carrying and charger for batteries.

I love this light.... It is not too often I spend this much money on a single light...OK OK maybe I do!I LOVE THIS LIGHT...This is a safe purchase.... Stop shopping and buy this one! It is a black light !BUY ONE you will not be disappointed!

Well built

I bought these because I had a coolant leak and needed a UV light to find the dye, for that these lights worked amazing. Big selling point was the multi function of it so its usefull still after i fixed my leak. Ive used them as a flashlight lots since, it was a great purchase with no regrets

I have to give props where they are due, this worked like a charm. I have dropped it and it is durable, I put it through all the tests I could think of and it surpassed my expectations.So after further use I have to say the light was a little tricky to figure out as there were no instructions. Just remember 5 rapid clicks gets you to the black light!

My first one lasted several years, until the switch failed on it. Honestly, for the price, it lasted far longer than I anticipated. I bought two more because of how useful they are for finding pet stains.
