Yet another new sound, and it’s perfect
Avenged sevenfold is one of my favorite bands. Yet ironically I did not like every single one of their albums the first time I listened to them. They’re sort of like an acquired taste for me. Eventually I realize just how good their albums are.The Stage was different though. I loved this album right off the bat. The music is perfect. The guitar has this masterful working to it, giving the band a mature feeling with limitless possibility. The new drummer is very good too. It’s not my favorite album by a7x, though it’s my third favorite and was from the first listen, instead of like a year later like all the other ones.

This album is simply amazing. I fell in love with it after it’s initial release, and that was enough to shell out the money for the second CD with the covers. Although the lyric booklet lacks lyrics for the second CD, the case is super cool and the CD designs are amazing. Although, if you’re not super into collecting CDs like I am, I’m not sure it would be worth it to buy this CD if you already have the original version of it.

Best Avenged Sevenfold Album Yet
This band just keeps blowing me away with their intelligence, range and talent. Each of their albums is even better than the last; they just keep outdoing themselves. The additional songs on this album complement The Stage perfectly. This album has singlehandedly sparked my nine-year-old son's interest in the cosmos, AI, the history of scientific persecution, climate change, Pink Floyd, The Stones, and the Beach Boys. Congrats to A7X for raising awareness of these current issues in the coolest way possible.

Worth every penny!
Awesome album. It sounds completely different than any other sevenfold album made which in my opinion makes it unique. Its as if bands like mastodon, system of a down and pink floyd along with their city of evil album all mated and had a baby and you get this album (the stage). Definetly staying im my cd player in my car for a while.

More epic lengthy songs a return to an established style
Really good effort, and the deluxe edition is worth it for the covers and bonus live songs. I was skeptical about "wish you were here" since I'm a big fan of roger waters and David Gilmour, but after a few listens it's good that although it's pretty faithful it does have some of its own character as well.

This is how you do a Deluxe version CD! ...Also, cracking, epic, heavy prog metal album!
Having gotten a lot of flak and accusations of plagurism for their more mainstream sounding ‘Hail To The King’ album, A7X return to a more progressive sound, echoing their brilliant run of albums all the way from City of Evil to Nightmare. Those not a fan of their aforementioned misstep to change their sound (HTTK wasn’t really THAT bad though really was it!?) can rejoice as the quality, heaviness and epicness is well and truly back...and it sounds really good!Songs length vary, from the short, sharp, heavy shot of goodness ‘God Damn’ to the epic 15 minute odd closer ‘Exist,’ and all points in between. Whilst being prog and heavy is nothing new for the band, there are some really out of left field moments; such as a brass band section on ‘Sunny Disposition,’ an all female choir on ‘Higher’ and many more. All this sounds tacked on on paper, but they actually don’t distract that much from the meat and potatoes of the band (guitars, bass, drums and vocals) and are more likely to ellicit a response of ‘Ooo what’s this!?’ rather than ‘WTF are they doing messing about!?’! So, in conclusion, the good kind of experimentation. The production is great, very organic sounding and recalls a lot of my favourite 90’s Metal bands for some reason! Is it just me!? Please let me know if you agree! The kind of clean and good production without being too sterile and, for lack of a better word, ‘clinical’ sound of new metal bands. Now, I got this Deluxe Edition for £6.99...which is a steal, but even at around £10, I would be more than happy to pay for this album and the bonus disc. Bonus CD’s are very hit and miss in metal, from the awfully awful and lazy ‘demo version of each song on the album proper’ (...what’s the point?...who wants to hear an inferior version of a song!?) to the great, which normally has some really good covers, a bonus song and maybe a few live songs. I can happily say that this Deluxe Edition is from the latter camp. Awesome single ‘Dose,’ a very diverse mix of covers, from Pink Floyd’s ‘Wish You Were Here,’ the unmistakable Mike Patton weirdness of Mr.Bungle’s ‘Retrovertigo’ a traditional Mexican song to the Beach Boys! All pretty similar, but different enough and so well done you don’t really care if it’s an exact copy or not, also a trio of live performances of the albums’ best cuts.

Capolavoro!
Mi ci è voluto del tempo per amarlo, e adesso non posso fare a meno di ascoltarlo. Ennesimo capolavoro, dalla prima all'ultima traccia!
