Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

A top game from start to finish. The gameplay feels smooth, the story is engaging, and the open world is fun to explore. Easily one of the best superhero games I’ve played and a must-have if you enjoyed previous Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 titles.

Brilliant game. It is a fun sequel to the others in the series. The game play allows you to play as both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. The controls are very familiar of you have played the earlier games but take a while to remember if you are new to the game series or haven't played it in a while. The Spiderman games are one of the few computer games I have completed and started again in new game mode almost immediately. There is a range of challenges so you can switch between tasks if you are finding part of the main story too difficult to complete.

The game delivers an exhilarating experience that builds on the foundation set by its predecessors. The game’s storytelling is top-notch, with an engaging narrative that explores the dynamic between Peter Parker and Miles Morales as they face off against formidable villains like Venom and Kraven the Hunter. The open-world environment of New York City is more immersive than ever, with enhanced graphics and smooth, fast-paced web-slinging. The ability to switch between Peter and Miles adds variety to the gameplay, each with unique abilities. Combat is fluid and satisfying, with a combination of acrobatics and powerful new moves. Overall, Spider-Man 2 is a must-play for fans of the series, offering a rich, thrilling superhero experience on the PS5.

It's a great game, very well put together and you can tell the devs put a lot of care and time into it. The balance of both spider-men is good, neither gets too much time and they both have their own activities that only they can do. Graphically it is beautiful and it runs very nice on the PS5, fast travel is practically instantaneous. The voice acting is good, there are no bad characters. I'm still not a fan of the "updated" Peter model, but it's what we are stuck with. The traversal is even better than the first with many new additions on how to get around. There are a few problems I encountered. A few times I got a bug that would not allow me to progress to the next part of a mission - usually if you do something the game doesn't want around the trigger to move on it will softlock you and you'll need to restart the checkpoint, which is not usually a big deal. I played the game on normal difficultly without rushing or following any kind of guides and I did 100% of the game in about 25 hours - for a lesser priced game I wouldn't say anything, but a few years on and this game is still £60ish... yes the game is high quality but the price needs to be lower in my opinion.

If you’re sitting on the fence about buying this game , I can tell you it is amazing and a great step up from the last PS4 Spider-Man game. The graphics and sound are great and an improvement on the original game , the game play is familiar and intuitive and the content of the game intriguing and fulfilling. The map is huge and once you have completed the main story line there are plenty of side quests and achievements to keep you busy for hours and hours. The introduction of venom is excellent and very welcome addition. The story line is good and keeps you engaged although I feel it’s not quite as good as the first one Ultimately this is a fun , quality game which is going to give you good value , yes it has some glitches and bugs but I’m sure those will be rectified in updates. Nothing that ruins the game play or enjoyment. A must S title for your PS5 a library
