Very helpful
I actually used this following a knee replacement- and it made all the difference! Helped me with my exercises, useful to decrease pain with getting in and out of bed. Very sturdy and easy to use with the gripper handles!

It works
Decided to try this to help get my legs into my tub. Helps a lot. less difficult getting my legs over the edge of the tub. For me it is very useful and would recommend.

This leg strap is worth its weight in gold
While preparing for total knee replacement surgery, I learned that a leg lifter strap would be good to have on hand. So, I did a quick Amazon search and picked one that had decent reviews and was reasonably priced. All I can say is that the HOOMTREE "43 Inches Long Leg Lifter Strap with Padded Handgrips and Foot Loop..." surpassed my expectations so much that I felt compelled to add yet another positive review. The strap material is heavy-duty and sewn well, and the pads are very nice. There is a long bendable metal piece that runs the length of the strap and a foot opening that easily stays open. These characteristics minimize any "fishing" required to get your foot in. It is easy to use, and I have much confidence in my ability to safely lift my right leg on and off stools, couches, beds, etc.In my preparation I bought a 2nd strap of a different brand (covering my bases!) to keep a spare in another room or the car. While it is adequate, it is nowhere near as nice as the HOOMTREE strap. Wish I had gotten 2 HOOMTREE straps!

The best for Pist-op Movement
Just had a total knee replacement and this leg lifter is awesome. I thought it would make my leg hurt more, but just the opposite. Getting into bed last night and out of it was very easy. It hurt more to use my good leg under the surgical one. This is the 39” length and I love that it is ridged yet bendable with the metal band in it. So you can fold it to travel with it. Or as I did leave it straight right next to me in bed.

Independence during recovery
I purchased this after a total knee replacement. I was so weak and quickly frustrated to have to ask for help even getting into bed. This strap gave me independence in the beginning of my recovery, something I didn't have much of.A gait belt can be used to achieve the same results, but I found this much easier to use. It's flexible, but sturdy, and I felt more confident moving my weak leg with this.I would have given five stars, but the inner support broke as the first joint after a few days. While this didn't affect the function greatly, it made the strap floppy and a little more difficult to place.

The ideal tool to lift your leg when injury happens
I broke my patella. 18 days of struggle and pain in a leg stabilizer brace before surgery, all the while losing muscle. Since surgery I am doing better. The occupational therapist suggested one of these, because I was unable to lift my own leg to get in or out of bed. Made a huge instant difference. I saw no guide for choosing the length, but since I am short, 5’3”, chose the shorter length tool. It works well. Until I regain strength as the bone heals, this tool is at my bedside ready for me to use. Now, after first two weeks out of surgery the pain is decreased to the point I can use gravity to lower the leg while supported under the ankle by the good leg. Prior to and right after surgery the pain in the kneecap was so intense I could barely tolerate any movement of leg even if the knee did not move. My advice, get this tool to aid yourself and thus control that pain level. Or even better, don’t fall on concrete and break your patella in the first place.Added info after a week of use. I found I can comfortably keep this hooked over the foot while sleeping to facilitate getting up in the night. I don’t even notice it.

A must for after hip joint replacement!
A great tool for after a hip replacement surgery! My surgery was almost 2 weeks ago and this has been a lifesaver to have.I have a regular PT strap for exercise, which works great for exercise in general. But this one is ideal post-surgery.The most important feature to me is the wide, padded foot stirrup which stays open while you insert your foot into it. No fumbling to get your foot into it. It’s a game-changer compared to the regular PT strap, where you have to manually open the stirrup each time. (Which is impossible since you can’t bend over to grasp it with your hands following hip replacement surgery.)I leave it on my foot when I’m sitting in my recliner so I can have it ready to assist any time I need to lift my foot, including for exercise.I had no idea which length to purchase, but the one I settled on (39”) works perfect. I’m 5’6” tall. The other feature I like is the thin aluminum piece inside the nylon webbing. It’s bendable, yet sturdy. It easily folds up and comes with a nylon pouch to keep it in, so I can easily carry anywhere. I plan to order a 2nd one to keep in the car.

I don't get it.
The pink color is nice, but I don't get how I'm supposed to use this.
