White Nights [Dostoevsky, Fyodor, Garnett, Constance] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. White Nights Review: Tale of desperation, love and imagination - Read it in one night. It's a dark, romantic dreamscape about "the one that got away". It's seemingly told from the perspective of a lonely young man, but in reality I believe it comes from the imagination of the old man whose own relationship has since become stale and mundane, as if his own wife could have instead run off just as he fell in love with her. Review: Really hooks you into the environment of St. Petersburg - It is a must read and truly an emotional ride being introduced to the main character. Who is very expressive with his thoughts in a way I’ve never heard of. Not only is the book short but I’ve heard that it’s a great book to get into before starting the others

A new favorite
The cover was so pretty although the book is thin. By far my favorite book I’ve read so far.

Horribly, crushingly depressing
I love Dostoyevsky and Russian authors in general, if you really want to read a book that will completely annihilate your spirit, look no further. This horribly beautiful story is sure to haunt you. Incredibly sad, but also remarkably beautiful in its own unique way. I would maybe not start with this book if you’re just getting into Dostoyevsky but it is a bit easier to digest than crime and punishment or the brothers karamazov.

amazing.
I am about 85% done with the book. This book my goodness I heard amazing reviews on it and wanted another Dostoyevsky book to read. By 50 pages in I was in tears, this book is truly poetic and my goodness is it sad, genuinely the emotions this book has been able to conceive out of me I haven’t felt in such a long time. PLEASE read this book it is truly wonderful

Great short read
My intro to Fyodor and I loved it. It was a quick read that helped me understand how he wrote so I could move onto his more famous works.

Page quality is okayish
the review is only for the book quality of the pages. Didn't like that at all.
