Acme Thunderer 660 Blue Whistle

I thought I'd share a little consumer review of this product. I purchased this fine whistle for the very reasonable sum of £3.12 and free delivery. The reason I made this particular purchase is to give phone scammers a very nasty earache with minimal effort. One long blast down the phone does the trick. Game Over. Could also be useful as a personal alarm.I chose the blue option, other colours are available including the classic silver metal type whistle. I was delighted to see that this product was produced by ACME, also known for producing such things as rocket propelled roller skates, anvils, dynamite and other explosives for Loony Tunes characters. Wile E Coyote is a regular customer. While the other ACME products mentioned are not available from Amazon , the range of ACME Thunderer Whistles are. Having given this product a quick test blast after the cat had gone out, (I didn't want to see him achieving a vertical take off.) I can definitely say that the ear-splitting noise emitted by this superb British product will I'm sure have the desired effect on the next phone scammer foolish enough to try any tricks. 'highly recommended.

my dog is going deaf and I wanted something to attract her attention if she was off lead in the park. this whistle is ideal, it is loud and high pitched-I also feel I could use it to attract people if I was being harassed or something. I didn't know if it would work with the dog, so I am very pleased about the price. it is a nice bright colour too.it hasn't a lanyard but these can easily be obtained from any cobblers/bargain shops. I fastened the whistle by ribbon on to the handle of the dog's lead, so I didn't forget to take it out.

A truly excellent whistle. Take care of your ears, a five year old can make this thing painfully loud. Excellent quality, loud and easy to blow. Maybe too loud for indoors. Having first bought rubbish whistles, the quality of this shines through, Highly recommended.

Great sound, great colour options, great quality and at a price you really cannot quibble with. It sounds way better than most plastic whistles and better than many metal ones. It's the 2nd one of these I've had (mislaid the first one!) and will definitely buy again if I need another.

Simple, robust, and loud enough to summon my Scout group from around the campsite for dinner!

Best whistles on the market . Worth every penny. Very loud, deafen anyone near you. Brilliant for play times.
