A most excellent debut album from The Plea
You won't be disappointed buying this album from Irish Indie/Rock band The Plea. 11 unique tracks none of which can be described as fillers, will draw you in to the rhythmns and close sound the band have as their signature. I say 11 tracks but the last track "Too Young To Die" fades long before the 9.26 track time given. It's only when you wait another 34 seconds that you discover the inconsistency as another acoustic track appears. Thankfully there's no cheesy reference to a "Bonus Track" which can be translated as something to make up the numbers, far from it. Whatever this final "final" track is it isn't a let down.Hearing Denny Doherty's vocals on the opening track "Staggers Anthem" may put you in mind of U2's Bono but let's nip this in the bud right now. If early U2's excitement appealed to you before they "matured" then having more from The Plea is nothing to moan about. I'm not listing my favourite or stronger tracks simply because they're all equally enjoyable. Try "Oh Ah Yay" if you want to exercise your own vocal talents, in fact any track will do.An excellent debut album, one for the portable player on the daily commute or drive, just try to resist singing out loud if you're not in your own car.If they haven't been booked for Glastonbury they should be. This debut album alone provides more than enough music choice for them to deliver a memorable impression and there's not much imagination required to visualise the crowds rocking to their music on a Summer's afternoon or evening if they get high enough billing.Definately one for the collection.

Great debut album
Following on from recent brilliant debut albums by Pure Love and Canterbury comes this equally good indie/rock album from Irish group The Plea. The lead singer has definite shades of Chris Martin in his vocals and the music has elements of fellow Irishmen U2 in places. All in all this is a really good album, with hook-laden choruses and some great guitar-work, my favourite tracks are Glass Waltz and Windchime but as with all good albums there are no bad tracks. Easily recommended to anyone who likes good music.

Fantastic CD by The Plea
Had never heard of this group until I heard the song Oh Ay Yay on the radio one morning and loved it so decided to buy the CD. Couldn`t believe how fantastic the album is. Every song is brilliant and I can`t stop playing the CD especially in the car at high volume!!!! Great value and can`t wait for their next CD.

PLEAse produce a second album. This one rocks
A fantastic debut which you will find hard to resist on high volume, and harder still to get out of your head. Staggers Anthem, Glass Waltz and Windchime - exceptional tracks. Worth buying for the album sleeve alone.
