I always come back to Ariat! Nothing beats it!
A few months ago Kerrits had their paddock boots on sale. I decided to give them a try instead of my trusty Ariats.I couldn’t take it. So uncomfortable, my toes were sore from the hard tip of the boot, and the ankle was huge. It rubbed me constantly. When I finally replaced them with my old faithfuls I slid my foot into the Ariat paddock boot and was shocked by how big of a difference there is! SO COMFORTABLE! No breaking in. Just immediate relief.Ariat paddock boots ride the best! But just as importantly, they walk like tennis shoes. That’s great news for those of us with worn out feet from years of horse work.I will never stray again.Ariat for life!

I love Ariat boots, or at least I used to…
I have worn Ariat boots for many years, and have always loved them from the first pair of heritage paddock boots 25+ years ago to even now the way these fit. I am completely disappointed with the wear on these as well as the pair of Fat Baby’s I bought 10 months ago. I spend most of my day on my feet and walk several miles every day teaching lessons, retrieving horses from paddocks, riding, etc. This pair has not lasted 5 months, they are already worn through in the right toe. The Fat Baby’s wore through the sole in 4 months. Yes, I am hard on boots, but I have never been through 2 pairs in less than a year. These boots still look new but the leather right in front of the toe on the right boot is completely worn through. I really wish the quality on these was as good as many former pairs of Ariat boots I have had. To pay $150+ For a pair of boots I expect them to last longer than a few months.

This boot is leather . . . should last well
Having worn work boots for most of my life in my occupation, I have found construction with durable materials with (leather and soles of thick rubber) essential. When talking to my daughter's instructor, I was told one year for a pair of riding boots was about normal (2-3 hours one day a week - normal non-leather offerings) whereas I would wear a pair of quality work boots for over a year, 5 days a week, 8 hours or more a day. With proper cleaning and care, and under the use these boots will receive, I doubt they will ever "need" replacement. My examination told me they were well made and they are attractive . . . all in all a quality value.

Good Quality for a decent price
This is not Ariat's higher end paddock boot, but it was immediately comfortable and I would recommend it.

Bring back the cobalt Devon Pro!!
Ok so they do fit. They were cheaper than what I’m used to paying for previous models of zip up paddock boots by Ariat. But you can tell!! They are like pleather!! Please bring back the Devon Pro Cobalt we will happily pay for it!!! These things I do not expect to last long at all they look like your typical Chinese made crap. Hope I am wrong!!

Disappointed
Disappointed in this purchase. I waited a long time to purchase Ariat boots. I have worn out several other brands over the years but so admired the boots in which my daughter campaigned her horse, did barn work, etc. for over 10 years, and the boots are still sound and serviceable. So, when I required a new pair of paddock boots, I decided to splurge on the Ariat Heritage paddock boots, same boot as my daughter's except I ordered mine in brown so that we could tell at a glance which boots belonged to whom. The wear on my boots is nothing compared to what my daughter has put her still intact ones through. Not yet a year old, mine are cracking and splitting. From a comfort standpoint, they are amazing, but for durability, they are very disappointing, not at all what I expected from Ariat. So sorry, Ariat, I expected a quality product based on your reputation and my daughter's experience. These boots have not delivered.

Beautifully constructed
Beautiful boots. They are quite narrow, which suits me fine since I have a narrow foot. They are stiff and take a bit of wearing to soften but they are beautifully made and look elegant.

Smart-looking, while protecting your feet from getting stomped on by a horse!
I was lucky to have the horse stand accidentally on my foot just recently as I was wearing these boots! First I purchased them for the horse show, but then decided to use them whenever I rode! And I tend to get compliments with these boots, too! I am protecting them from the snow and salt, though.

Excellent boots for riding, and for daily life!
I have been using Ariat jodhpur boots for years now, because of:1) The soles: which give amazing arch support. These boots are so comfortable that I often wear them all day, not just for riding!2) The shape: they also really support your ankles! (A godsend if you have back trouble)3) The design: A classic, traditional and smart jodhpur boot, suitable for all disciplines and built for all-season use. Bonus: unless you actually stand for an extended time in a deep puddle, they keep your feet DRY too! The key to WARMTH is which socks you wear with them...BUT PLEASE NOTE:A) These boots do take a bit of breaking in: for me, they were supple and comfortable by the end of the first week. I start by painting them with neatsfoot oil, letting that soak in overnight, and then cleaning and treating them regularly (at least 2x per week) with leather balsam for 1st month while using them regularly to get them soft. Basically, treating them like any other new piece of tack.B) Depending on how much you ride, they will have an accordingly limited lifespan. If riding multiple horses every day, I expect them to last, at best, two winters; longer, if I’m riding less often than that. The better you look after them, the longer they will last. Loading them regularly with leather balsam and neatsfoot oil will help prevent cracking. But despite the fact that they will, inevitably, die one day - you would need to go a long way to find a better engineered jodhpur boot at this price. On price: if you buy jodhpur boots, you can then buy different Half Chaps to suit different seasons /occasions (eg summer, winter, hacking, smart). I put most of my budget into the boots, then get a variety of cheaper half chaps for different jobs. Overall, I think I get better value from this, riding all year round, than from just one pair of long boots.
