With prices on everything going up.. these pair of alarms are a bargin given that a single one... ONE from a big box store like HD or Lowes cost $50+. These gets to job done.

Ease of Installation
These new smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were simple to install. I had Kidde detectors prior so I only had to remove the old unit and install the new unit on the old base Easy pesy!

Contractor Repackaged
Excellent product, but still took 2.5 weeks despite Prime delivery. (Most likely because they were waiting for NEW inventory) In fact these detectors were only 1 month old, which means they were brand new so worth the wait. However they were re-boxed in plain brown cardboard. Most products for new construction come this way. Anyhow I’m very happy as they operate perfectly! Took one star off because I was told by the manufacturer before I purchased them that the use of AA Lithium batteries were ok, when in fact the instructions say to not use AA Lithium batteries.

My fiancee tried cutting a corner and getting a unknown China brand for cheap. All I can say is buy USA made and name brand. Don't cut corners with your safety and others.
