NIV Zondervan Study Bible (Anglicised): Soft-tone

Wow is this one heavy book! So apart from having a well made Bible it also has a very useful introduction to all the books of the Bible and extensive footnotes with cross-references. Unlike most Bibles it does not use the double column layout, it is single column.There is also a ton of information at the end of the Bible, far too much to tell you about here. The only thing that I wish is that a larger font had been used.This is the NIV 2011 translation which some purists don't like but its holds true to the word of God and if a translation makes reading the Bible compelling and easy, where is the problem with that? This Bible is the Anglicised version (British grammar and spelling).My only complaint is that it doesn't come in a box, which for a book of this size and weight I feel it should have had.

I'll say at the outset that this is a large and heavy Bible, not a thing you'd want to carry around if you could at all avoid it! Having got that out of the way, this is THE essential study Bible: absolutely superb helps and indexing, informative, scholarly articles - lots of them - and book introductions, by people like Tim Keller, Douglas Moo and DA Carson. Beautifully designed and printed, with a solid and attractive flexible binding, and despite its size and weight, easy to find things, and easy to read. This is going to live on my desk and be used daily.

This is a BIG hefty Bible, so it is unlikely you will want to carry it with you, unless perhaps for use in Church. Being a Study Bible it is a Bible you would use at home rather than out and about, so the size is not an issue for me. It does come in personal size, but can't comment on that one as not seen it. This is a STUDY Bible, and has so many 'extras' you couldn't list them all, including wonderful colour pictures and maps. Informative, easy to use, I would highly recommend.

This is an absolutely superb Bible. It is comprehensive, packed full of information, easy to navigate and lays flat open without any worries of damage to the spine. The introductions to the books are extremely detailed and provide amazingly helpful information before getting into the Biblical texts themselves. Highly highly recommended!

Very big and heavy as other reviews have said! But that's obviously to be expected. Very interesting and informative. Haven't read enough of it yet to be convinced that it answers the type of theological questions I have but no one commentary is ever going to answer all your questions or address every type of question/angle.

A triumph of scholastic achievement and a truly wonderful Bible. The notes are extremely helpful, the introductions, additional essays, maps and illustrations throughout this Bible bring the Word of God to life. Forget about the dusty Bibles of your school days - get this Bible and experience the Word of the Living God for yourself!

This is the best bible I have owned. It's great quality with good size text and very clear and accessible study notes on each page.

Bible is good but very heavy and big, its good study Bible for home. Carrying out for church is not easy. Happy purchasing it❤️
