A lovely macro lens for the GoPro. Very useful is UK waters as often the visibility isn't as good as elsewhere where you may have 20-30m viz.The lens has allowed me to get closer to the items I have wished to photograph or video. Generally the results have been good.The red filter is more suitable for tropical waters, not UK waters, so I carefully removed it. This wasn't a big problem is my case as I use a light with the GoPro whilst diving anyway.Swapping the lens in or out during the diving is simple enough. Admittedly I've not yet dived with thick gloves since I got this macro lens, but I can't see it being an issue.The filter does look to be a simple operation to swap in or out too during the dive. I've looked around and there doesn't appear to be a purple filter, which would be more useful for UK waters. This is a shame. and perhaps something the manufacturer could look at for the future. For now I'll continue to use the light I have for stills and video.It might be useful to get a neoprene pouch to protect the lens. It's a little wealdy and exposed. I worry that it could be easily damaged on a dive boat or when transporting it home.The screw on the fitting does leave a small mark on the edge of the GoPro case's lens protector. Wishing to take a little extra caution I have used the short piece of string to help secure the lens to the GoPro in case it should come loose.I would recommend that you use this with an LCD screen and play with the settings to get the best field of view setting for your needs.

Used this whilst in the Carribean recently, because of the magnification you can sit back from the fish a bit and still get a nice image using either stills or video.Be aware if you are going to use this lens put a tether on the lens, as the screw worked loose on one snorkel and the lens dropped off the camera luckily in a shallower area of the bay.Also most floats are overwhelmed by the weight of the lens so I would recommend putting a tether on the camera as well.

Received this floaty extension a couple of weeks ago and I love it! It’s very light so floats well with the camera. The clear pole makes for much better footage and photos. The handle has a nice grip that’s comfortable in the hand even when wet. The pole is also perfect size for swimming as the previous pole I owned was too long to swim with, making it difficult to hold steady underwater. Also the swivel action on this pole works much better, as it helps to see the rotation of plastic inside the tube. A nice addition to bare in mind is that this pole has a 1/4” tripod adapter for none GoPro products, which I haven’t seen on other products. Overall a great pole for water activities.

Brilliant accessory for the GoPro providing zoom in under rocks and coral when the camera does not fit or when you don't want to get too close to the fish. However the mounting is bulky and particularly blocks the control button making hard to shift between functions especially if you got large fingers or wearing gloves. Also be prepared to damage the GoPro underwater housing as you fix this accessory to it, but on the other hand it's worth it for the better images.Finally if you choose to purchase this accessory then take caution not to scratch the lense and keep it out of direct sun light.Happy snapping

Poor design. I fitted this onto my gopro 4 and tightened the little screw that holds it in place on the housing. Unfortunately the lens and filter fell of getting out of the red Sea after a dive and is now at the depths of the Red sea. I tightened the screw as tight as possible, even marking my lens on the housing. Not happy with this product as I may as well have thrown £46.00 into the red Sea. ( literally) 😭😭

In hind sight..black probably isn’t the best colour to chose when you’re swimming off the coast of Cornwall.

Definitely won't recommend other to buy this one. Parts are very easily to fall during dive.

I thought this was a great product at first, but it came off and disappeared into the sea after less than a minute (despite my tightening the screw to attach it beforehand)....
