Great pen and robust pocket holder
I like the metal frame. I like the knob to put tip out and back in.Like the pocket clip as it does bend out of shape with thick shirts.Nice feel. Great pen.

Solid Performance
What stands out the most is it’s very reliable. You can write with confidence that the pen will capture every stroke. It’s not a light pen so for those that want a featherweight, it’s not for you. The only thing I think people should be aware of is the grip is little aggressive or let’s call it sharp. I personally like it because it makes me feel like I won’t drop it. Other than that it’s a fantastic bolt action pen for anyone wanting one without dropping a lot of $$$. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again.

Solid companion for Rite in the Rain notebooks
The media could not be loaded. As an avid Rite in the Rain notebook and pen user/collector, I decided to give this guy a shot, especially since I've been eyeing a good bolt action pen to add to my EDC rotation. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this.Like all Rite in the Rain pens, it works perfectly on both the company's notebook paper as well as traditional paper. I find the ink skips less frequently than RitR's plastic pens, perhaps due to the heft of its all-metal construction. The bolt action is a little stiff out of the box, which often caused the two ends of the pen to slightly back out. However, after a week or so of breaking in the action become much easier to actuate. The build quality is on point for the price. The ergos are good, with a nice tactile area to grip the pen while writing. The weight isn't too bad either, though it does become a bit tiring to use over extended writing sessions. The wire pocket clip is outstanding, clinging tightly to pockets while still being able to remove with ease.My only major complaint is that the pen is a little large for pants carry, at least for me. While it's fairly thin, in comparison to other popular full size pens it's pretty tall. For shirt pockets it's not that much of an issue, but for how I like to carry pens (in my rear pants pocket) it's not all that comfortable, especially on long car rides. The black finish is pretty flaky as well, with the pen sporting some notable wear on its clip, top cap and the bolt knob after only a month or so of regular use. Not all that much of an issue for me personally, though I could see it being a sore point for some, especially given this pen's nearly $30 price tag.I would still highly recommend this pen for heavy RitR users or for those just wanting a solid bolt action pen that's kind of spendy while still not breaking the bank like some more premium options on the market. Like I said before, I think there are better options for pants carry but it's great for a shirt pocket or keeping at hands reach on a desk.

Solid pen!
I've been using this pen for about two months as my edc pen. Fits nice in my field notes size wallet. It's a heavy pen but I like how it feels in my hand. Writes very smooth. The pens finish hasn't chipped or broke down which has been an issue with other ones I keep in my back pocket. Great value for the money compared to the price of othe bolt action pens. I might buy a back up.

Won’t Stay Closed
I like a lot about this pen, I wanted very specific things in a pen and this pretty much hit all of them. Works in all environments, pressurized ink, bolt action, and metal.Pros: The build quality is definitely top notch, it’s heavy and it feels great. The bolt action is smooth and responsive. It is a good compromise between the usefulness of a clicker without accidentally getting ink bleed on your shirts (or white coat in my case) through an inadvertent click.Cons: To change ink it twists open in the center and you unscrew it. Basically every time I use the pen it loosens and I have to retighten it. I’m not sure if there is a spacer missing, or just improper alignment or what but it’s really frustrating. I don’t think I’ve had this issue with any pen I’ve owned so I thought this was odd. I could use some low strength loctite, but I don’t think I should have to.The pen itself also skips almost every single time I write with it. After the first few skips on the initial letter it goes away, but this happens pretty much every time I use it when it hasn’t been used for more than 10 minutes. I could have gotten a bad set, but for a $25 pen I’d expect some better QC.This is purely personal preference, but the pen is not good for writing for very long. Short notes is fine, but anything more than that it’s uncomfortable due to how narrow the barrel is.I’ve bought from rite in the rain before and have never been disappointed, but this is an unfortunate first. It seems that other reviewers don’t my issues, so seems to be more of a one off.

Excellent pen for the hard working person.
I am a police officer and use this pen quite frequently every day. It is well constructed, works perfectly in all weather conditions and Is very comfortable in the hand. One caveat is that just like any other mechanical items, you do have to clean it every couple of months to keep it working smoothly. Great product that’s well worth the price.

Quality and Durability
Solidly built. Perfect weight and balance. Writes well and there are available refills. Pocket clip is strong and keeps the pen in place. Excellent pen for work or as a utility go-to.
