Aleyna Melba Toast 100 g (Pack of 12)

These taste good but they're not what I was hoping for. I always thought that Melba toast and French toasts were the same thing but maybe they aren't, a Google didn't flag up anything to say they're either the same or different. I had wanted the light, crumbly and airy type of toasts you can get (more like the round Danish toasts in texture) but these are slim things, very hard and dense. There's absolutely nothing wrong with their flavour, being seriously delicious with a little spread and some toppings, they just weren't quite what I thought they would be with their texture!If you want this harder style of toasts then these are what you need to buy. If you're looking for the light crumbly versions of French toast, there's another brand called Jacques currently on Amazon, which are really lovely.I now think I might be more clued up on Melba vs French toasts!

Bought these as a change from my usual brand as they were better value. A good taste, enjoyable crunch, and just as nice! Great with cheese or pate, but also as a cracker to eat with soup.

Ten tasty toasts to each cellophane pack, three packs per box and a dozen boxes in total. Really light and scrumptious. A definite winner!

Good with cheese, ham, marmalade or even plain. Smaller size than expected but still very good.

Tasty with pate, but a lot were broken on arrival, they don't travel well!

Can never go wrong with melba toast and at this price it's a steal.

Great value, arrived quickly, in little packs of 10 inside, so handy for school, picnics etc
