It Sucks -- And That Is Good
I think this is a fine extraction pump and just what I need for two projects: 1) removing current brake fluid from the reservoir so I can fill with new fluid (to start) to do a full brake fluid flush, and 2) removing power steering fluid from its reservoir so less flows out from the lines when I replace my rack and pinion.I read a number of reviews, particularly the negative ones and will offer my counterpoint.Yes, the cylinder tapers at the bottom and the plunger may stick if fully pushed to the bottom. It may be a little difficult when you first take it out of the box to use. Looks like some reviewers took it out of the box and immediately tried an extraction without 'playing' with it. This includes 'preparing' the O-rings.I tried it first with water and found that it initially didn't fully hold the water I extracted. But after I kept working the plunger extracting water over and over, the O-Rings sealed fully and held the vacuum. So when I go to use the extractor, at minimum, I will 'exercise it' with water, or perhaps coat the O-rings with a sample of the fluid I will extract. One reviewer lubricated the O-Rings with dielectric silicone grease which should be fine unless you are actually transferring a fluid for reuse that might become contaminated. The kit comes with two caps to put on the ends of the hose to prevent the fluid from leaking once you have the desired volume in the extractor. I didn't yet try the extractor with a liquid solvent, so TBD. I liked that the kit came with a spare set of O-rings -- that I am attaching with the tube caps to prevent loosing them.I had no problems with the 1/4" tube attaching and sealing to the extractor. Push the tube fully into the blue rim hole and gently pull the blue ring out till it stops and then sightly pull the tube tight. When you want to remove the tube, push on the blue ring, then push and twist the tube out. One one-star reviewer appeared to yank the tub out, blue ring fitting and all.The larger and smaller diameter tubes apparently connect using the black rubber connector / splicer - and some complain that leaks. But I found that with a little work the smaller diameter tube can be inserted into the larger diameter which might work better if you have a long run and don't want to loose the smaller diameter tube.It appears the black rubber 'tube connector' can be placed on the free end of the large tube to connect to something with the right diameter. Using my tube-in-tube approach above, the rubber connector can be reversed to that end for a larger diameter fit.I did look at a few other extractors listed and I am still happy I chose to get this one. Would recommend.

Best syringe out there?
Let me start off by saying I have had many of these, from mityvac, to harbor freight, this one has my favorite build quality. It has amazing ease of installation, straight forward and easy. The speed is great removing and inserting fluid. This was very easy to clean when I was done with it, It even came with extra gaskets which the other ones I have purchased in the past did not, even if they were way more expensive. 10/10 product, very happy with it, amazing value for money, amazing size, could not see myself needing something larger.

Nice and small....
Was looking for a small pump to be able to use on my 5th wheel hydrulic system. This fit my bill, it was small but was able to hold alot of fluid when using it. I gave it a 4 star cause of two issue I'm having/had. First is the added tube to giving you add lenght didn't stay attach when I used it. It doesn't click to lock on so the extension fell out and into the tank (can't get it out) so I do have it anymore. Second is sometime the pump handle get stuck and I can't pull the handle out to suck ou the fluid. I would have to remove tool and work with it than place back in tank to suck out the fluid. But I guest I can't complain for the price I paid for this. It does come with extra o-rings when the ones inside start to wear out. Might look else where if I need other pump. Time will tell.

Great tool must have for any mechanic
Must have for a mobile mechanic.I use this every other job. Holds enough fluid to drain power steering reserve tanks or brake fluid reservoir.I also use this to push fuel through lines, clear out power steering lines and everything else. It's great.

Good idea, good materials, POOR execution.
Great idea and seems well made or quality material, BUT it doesn't work well. The rubber o-rings fit so tightly in the bore that it takes an EXTREME amount of force to draw the plunger out. If you ever completely remove the plunger, to clean it for instance, it is very difficult, if not impossible, to reinsert the plunger as the o-rings will then roll out of the grooves. Frankly it is useless.

The Hulk can't pull it back!
This thing really works great except for the problem of pulling it back! It will stick in the bottom and the hulk can't pull it back. I'm returning it for another one in hopes it won't have this issue.

Almost perfect
I like a fact that it makes adding solutions to my batteries quick and easy. I had one small kinetic battery that's for subwoofers in my vehicle and the straw to withdraw or eject liquid was too small to fit into the hole but other than that great for the value for the money I spent and no issues same quality made durability is great and it worked as expected thank you
