Junk - Avoid
Another piece of junk from China happily sold on Amazon. Micro SD card could not even be inserted. Looking inside, one could clearly see the slot was obstructed and mounted not straight. Why do they even bother?

Great imaging, terrible directions
The media could not be loaded. I bought this camera to see what goes on with a stray, traumatized cat that we are trying to rehabilitate. Whenever I am present she hides under a chair but we know she comes out to eat and use the litter box and we find her hair all over the patio room that she's in. The quality of the images is excellent but the directions are so poorly written that I have yet to set it up properly for motion detection and keep shooting all day or night in 5-minute segments. (The night images are purple and rather blurry, and I've yet to spot the cat in them). The directions do not tell you very basic things, such as which side of the camera is up (It's buttons on top). The instructions are written in very poor English and are very confusing. I'm supposed to look for different kinds of flashing lights as indicators of what mode the camera is in, but they aren't well-defined. Quick flashes or longer flashes? No idea. I've turned the comera off when I thought I was turning it on. If they had a technical writer who was fluent in English completely revise these instructions I'would probaby give it five stars. I've attempted to upload a cat video we shot with it. The cat shows up about 20 seconds in.

Great for Basic Needs
This tiny video camera is a very basic one that does a decent job of recording both video and audio. No phone app needed, no wifi needed, just straight plug-n-play.If you don't use the motion-detector function to trigger the recording, it simply records continuously in 5-minute segments. If you need the camera to run for a long time, you have to keep it plugged in to a USB port/adaptor and use a 128GB SD card (max) that is NOT included with the camera. Shorter recordings can just use the battery (if the camera has been charged) but you'll still need an SD card of some size.My experience with stationary recording:Using a USB adaptor, I plugged into a normal wall socket in the kitchen and started the video running before I went to sleep. It was still running in the morning, approximately 9 hours later.Once I took the SD card out of the camera, there were 109 five-minute videos on it, and they expanded to full screen on my laptop. The video quality was decent but nothing to brag about. It was good enough that my face was perfectly recognizable and the room details were clear. Video was also captured with the lights off, but it wasn't great, so I'll probably keep a nightlight plugged in nearby. The audio recording was also decent. It picked up both the sounds of my getting something to drink from the fridge and the toilet flushing a few feet down the hall. It also picked up a few sleepy mumbled words that I spoke while I was in the kitchen, though I did have to increase the volume on playback to understand those words.Note: Once the camera is fully charged and the video is recording, there are no lights or indicators to tell you that it's on, unless you're in motion-detector mode (then the green and blue lights flash briefly every time it's triggered). The only reason I knew that the camera was still running when I checked in the morning had nothing to do with any indicator lights. It was because the final video was of my hand reaching to take the SD card out.If you're looking for pure stealth, it's also important to know that the red charging lights will keep blinking until the camera is fully charged, and then they will remain steady for a while after. Eventually the red lights do turn off, but I didn't stay awake long enough to see when that happened. Given the many other blinking LEDs scattered around my place, those on the camera don't stand out. But if they ever do become a problem, I'll just use a few small bits of black electrical tape to cover them. The accessories that come with the camera include a USB charging cable, a reset key, a USB/SD adapter for viewing your videos on devices that don't have an SD card slot, and both a clip and a stand for setting up the camera in tricky places. There's also a convenient magnet on the back of the camera. For me, the charging cable worked fine, but the USB/SD adapter turned out to be nearly useless. After re-seating it several times in my laptop USB port, it finally recognized. But I kept having to fiddle with it every time I plugged in, so I gave up and just started using a more reliable adapter of my own.Another tip to note is that you need to keep the button side of the cube UP (on top) while recording. Otherwise, your videos will be upside down.My Big 3 irritation points with this camera are these:1) Inserting the SD card so it's seated properly:The card slot is cheaply made with lots of wiggle room, so it's way too easy to end up with a slanted or tilted insertion that the camera won't recognize. And it's not one of those spring-loaded card slots where the card clicks when properly seated and you can just push it in a little further to pop it back out. It needs to be inserted just right...straight and with the beveled ledge on the end of the card just barely able to be gripped. Once in, it seems to stay put, but I don't know how long it would stay that way if you attached the camera to the collar of a really active pet.2) Getting the timestamp function to work:Even after modifying the text file as the instructions described, the camera kept resetting the year to 2017. Since I don't really need date/time proof of when the videos were captured, I couldn't be bothered to mess with the timestamp function any further. But if you plan to use this camera to catch wrongdoing of some sort, and you hope to use it in legal proceedings of any kind, good luck convincing anyone that "yes, I swear this video really wasn't from 2017 but was actually captured yesterday."3) Trusting the indicator lights:The indicator lights sometimes behave the way the instructions describe, and sometimes they don't. They're unreliable often enough that I'm never perfectly confident that the video is actually running. Using the reset key before starting each new video session seems to help, but then again...does that also reset your clock and timestamp settings? Who knows.Overall, I like this camera because it's tiny and does precisely what I need it to do, with no frills. That's why I gave it four stars, despite the three irritation points I listed above. However, those of you who demand more from your video cameras will probably want to look elsewhere. Here's my list of people who should NOT buy this camera:- Anyone who wants to watch the video in real time using their phone (you can't)- Anyone who wants to control the camera using their phone (you can't)- Anyone who hates the idea of having to view their videos by manually moving the SD card from the camera to another device (you must)- Anyone who requires top-of-the-line video/audio quality (this one's quality is merely "adequate" in my opinion)- Anyone who needs reliable timestamps on their video footage (maybe my camera was just a defective one and others will work just fine, but buyer beware and all that)- Anyone who wants it to be obvious that a camera is recording the activity in the area (I mean, that kind of defeats the purpose of buying this tiny camera in the first place, doesn't it?)

Best mini cam
This mini cam has been so much fun. I’ve been clipping it to my cap when we go places to be able to record the moment but also be hands free. You had to insert a chip to save memory which i enjoy because I get to put the chip in my laptop and save the videos instantly!

Easy set up, sound is great and it takes pics, but when it’s recording nothing shows up except sound… super bummed.

Works good.
The media could not be loaded. Like the motion detector but don’t know how good night vision works.
