I've always had a love for the outer box, keeps your phone safe from 4 - 6 foot drops 95% there are those rare moments where it won't. In my case these have saved my phone's from falling for the step of the semi or the decks of the trailers. Like a Time-X takes a licking and keeps on ticking. This case is pretty sturdy. Unlike the old case that had multiple pieces this one is one piece that you just have to lock your phone into.

The Defender series is the best phone case ive ever had. I have had them on my past three new phones. Believe me this is the only reason they survive long enough to trade in.

Way better than the Commuter series. When I initially bought the phone, the Commuter series was $40 and the Defender series was $60. Nowadays, the Defender Series is $29 for Black and $26 for Blue. I really wanted the Blue, anyways, to give more color to my life and Blue is new favorite color, but that was a nice savings.The Commuter series after about 6 months started forming this odd shape based on my usage of the buttons on the top-right portion of the phone. In addition, often times when I removed it from my pocket or my CD Holder in my Car, it would come out of the case.I specifically bought the Defender Series because of the additional layer of protection where the Hardcover portion goes over top of the Front of the Phone. That's the primary difference between the Defender Series and the Commuter Series. So far, it's working out quite nicely and I've had no issues with the casing coming off at any portion.The downside is that the Defender Series casing is heavier than the Commuter Series casing, but the trade-off is more and better protection, as well.It even feels rugged in my hands which is a nice safety assurance.All in all, I'd definitely recommend this series over the Commuter Series.

I bought this holster to replace one I had just like it. It works great for holding my phone but the plastic does eventually wear out.

The case is durable and fits snugly.

I would like to say first and foremost that I have been using otterbox products for years. They have a great warranty and I have almost never been disappointed with one of their products.This thing fits like a glove! You can tell a lot of work went into the for and build of this case. My phone feels like a tank with this thing on!! The blue color is very neutral (not "girly" not "manly"). Clicky button access and overall great quality ! My phone feels very protected !
