Title 1 perfect
My 7yo is struggling with phonics and this has helped so much! It's easy for her to do on her own or we play rhyming games together! They hold up well as my 3yo got to them.

Well made, but not entirely accurate
These are well made, sturdy cards that will last for a long time. They might be appropriate for a child who wants to play school, but a teacher will realize that the there are some omissions. For example "th" is addressed for only one of the two sounds that it makes. The pedagogic shortcomings are the reason for my three-star rating.

A Great Way to Start to Teach Reading
These phonics flash cards are the ideal way to begin to teach word recognition and how to sound then out. The various sounds, like the vowel blends, the di- and trigraphs, silent letter combinations, etc vary from the simple (for real beginners) to the complex (for older children). We taught both of our children to read using phonics and as we are getting ready to start with my grandson these will be invaluable. They are printed on stiff, shiny card stock, so they can be wiped clean and will hold up. Each card has a punch out hole in the corner. Also included are five plastic snap rings, so you can make up groups of cards to make up your own lessons. The only thing I wish was included was a set of instructions or suggestions on using them, like some games or the like. This is a really nice set and well worth the investment.
