Super incredible deal excellent quality and of course fast shipping!
I already have an external CD ROM however I cannot find it so I was looking for the cheapest one off Amazon, This one was super crazy cheap And I cannot believe the quality of this When you pick it up it does not feel like a toy. In fact when you picked us up you realize this is a good piece of equipment it reads CDS without missing a beat I have not used it for burning yet but my Honestly for my mom's birthday I'm definitely getting her one of these she will absolutely love it! I would recommend going with the USB extension cords that you can buy off Amazon to go with.

Plug in and go!
I needed this for my MacBook since it doesn’t have a disc drive, and it worked right out of the box, just plug and play. I used it to install some older software and also to watch a DVD, and it handled both without issues. The design is slim and easy to store when not in use. The cord could be a little longer, but that’s my only real complaint. For anyone who still has a stack of discs lying around, this is a solid, affordable option

Great Product! But a couple of nitpicks
I’d like to say the CD drive works great! I had an old CD with family photos that was barely readable via externalized CD readers from old MacBooks (photos took forever to transfer, would randomly stop due to read issues, and would copy all corrupted), and this device read the disc just fine! I was also able to have two flash drive and an SD card readable at the same time. Lastly, the USB cable can also power the device, so no need to hook up the power connector and chew up an extra USB spot on the computer. Some nitpicks though: first, the cable is directly connected to the CD drive, so if that cable fails, the whole device is useless. Second, the SD card sticks out a bit further than I’m comfortable with, even though it’s on the back of the drive (see picture for reference). Lastly, it didn’t seem that I could connect a microSD and regular SD at the same time. Whatever card was inserted first would be read, and not the other. Still giving the product five stars as these issues are highly situational and not a big deal.

Almost there
At first I thought this was one of the best...I've tried about 4 out....it was the most user friendly. Then it stopped working. The plug in part stopped working...yet it does work with an adapter.

Great Device,Great Price!
This DVD drive works nicely with both my 2016 and 2025 Macs. And it serves as a hub, with ports for a USB flash drive, SD card, etc. The price is something like $15 - amazing!

Not for me I guess.
My device manager on my computer recognized it instantly. I had to download a DVD/CD app (VLC Media Player) since there was no method to read DVD's or CD's on my computer. I tried 5 CD's, multiple DVD's, and it never read a single one. Then the straw that broke the camel's back was when one of the DVD's refused to eject. I tried the little manual eject button and that didn't get it open. I ended up having to rip the front off to get the DVD out. It had many old family photos on it, so I had to have that disk. The whole reason I bought the thing was to transfer the media to a hard drive for preservation. Anyway, finally got the DVD out and I destroyed the drive in the process. Lifes' too short for aggravation like this. In the trash it went. I'm absolutely sure some technician could point out what I did wrong, or some other step I could have taken. After two hours of updating drivers, unplugging, rebooting, uninstalling, reinstalling and on and on, I honestly lost the will to care. I'll take another path.
