Best customer service I have ever had. The tech support went above and beyond expectations. After getting the system up and running even performing a follow up to make sure everything worked correctly. The thermostat works flawlessly and is integrated with my steam system and mini splits. I had non compatible wiring and Jason offered multiple solutions. Don’t go nest go Cielo.

I am very happy with the thermostat, it's customization options, and the smartphone app. Customer support has been great. I have an old HVAC system, and non-standard colored wires, so wanted to ensure I did not damage my equipment if wired incorrectly. They walked me through everything. They also helped me optimize the device preferences to suit my needs.

The unit worked flawlessly for to months adjusting the temperature on the app manually. After finding out there were preset temperatures that could be utilized IE: Home, Away, etc. they were set and the call for heat function was not working. Called their customer service thinking, "Here's a few hours lost sitting on hold...", Josh was on the line in 45 seconds, looked up our app account, informed us we needed to do some updates, he installed the updates and we were fully operational within 5 minutes.Outstanding customer service is very rare to find and the product performs better than anticipated.I would definitely recommend them (Cielo) to anyone on the fence for those two reasons.

Bought this to control my 4H/2C gas furnace with heat pump. Had some setup issues to start, but after doing some restarts of the thermostat, all seems to be fixed. Been using it since June 30th 2024 and has be performing flawlessly. The app gives good insight into run times and has so many fine tuning features. Very simple to use, but very customizable. The customer service is top notch also. I spent a good while on the phone with Mark Richardson who helped me through a variety of issues. Fantastic product and great support. Hard to beat the features and functionality at this price, especially when compared to an ecobee.

Even though the Cielo smart thermostat is listed as compatible as are most other 24v brands with new inverter based split system, the Cielo, will randomly, in the middle of a cooling cycle, stop the compressor and restart it in heatpump mode even though it's in cool mode and says cool on screen. It then starts blowing hot air and will heat house up to 80F and humidity to 68%. It's set to 74F and displayed temp climbs to 77F and stops. Real temp at thermostat is 80F (according to a real thermometer) and heat continues to blow. (It's 90F outside!) I have turned the breakers off, reset everything and process repeats. Wiring confirmed with a licensed hvac tech. It will work for while, cycling off and on as it's supposed to, but it has a mind of it's own and randomly trys to "heat" the room down instead of cooling it. It's hooked up exactly as my dumb thermostat -3H2C. My system is less than a month old and works correctly, however this thermostat doesn't work.

I bought this Cielo smart thermostat to control my central HVAC for two reasons. First, because the price was substantially better than the price of the Nest or Ecobee thermostats (the two most highly rated smart thermostats on Amazon), and because I already had two Cielo Breez thermostats for controlling my mini splits and I wanted to control everything from one App rather than multiple Apps. The mini split controlling units are absolutely terrific so I figured this might also be as good. Well this thermostat is very good but it’s not quite as perfect as the Breez ECO, Plus, and Max mini split controllers.What I like is that it is very easy to install with clear and simple instructions. The unit comes with a C-wire adapter, which I didn’t need but that seems a plus for installations where a C-wire isn’t available. When you’ve installed and connected the thermostat the screen on it tells you what it has detected and that confirms whether your connections are correct or need to be adjusted.It has loads of functionality but this is where things get less simple and easy. The unit comes with four available modes, Home, Away, Pets, and Sleep. I figured I would setup the Home mode with preset temperature changes during the day to account for breakfast hours, time away from home, evening relaxation, and sleep time. Well not so fast….. It turns out that Home doesn’t have multiple times available. Instead Home is one preset for which you set the time it activates and the days it is active but then you must create other presets with different names to manage alternative temperatures and times and days they will activate. This is all very complicated and makes it hard to configure different temperatures profiles for a weekend. Sleep seems to me to be a lessor included option within Home, but no, that’s another preset option.As another reviewer has observed, their support line is answered fast (during their business hours of 9am-9pm M-F), is staffed with extremely knowledgeable and helpful agents, and they are very willing and able to walk you through the setup process. In my view it just shouldn’t be as hard as they have made it. Setup should be more intuitive, not require tech support, and it should be designed to meet the needs of the actual user not the designer.In summary, the functioning of this new offering from Cielo is excellent and with some improvements to the programming process and their remote control App it will be one of the best on the market. In the meantime if does everything the others do but it takes a bit more effort than it should.

I purchased 2 units for my home & installed the 1st one easily. I mixed up the wiring on the 2nd one, and customer service helped me identify & correct the issue quickly. The ability to set up custom programs easily & control the temperature settings remotely have helped me reduce my energy bill substantilly. Highly recommend!!

This could be an amazing product if WiFi didn’t drop-off frequently. Before you go tell me to check my network, this is the only device on my network that does this. Also, I bought two units. Only one works well. The other one is on another system and it only heats. I emailed customer support and did not get a response. I am returning and getting something else.
