It Really Works!!!
I was skeptical about this product and if it could actually reduce the room sound coming through the mic while recording. When I received it, I set it up immediately and used it to record an acoustic guitar part. I was blown away how much quieter, focused and tighter the sound was.I’ve been a producer for several decades and swear by this product. It works!

No.
I am a professional full time voice actor. I booked a month long trip overseas, and needed some small portable acoustic treatment to improve my sound. I was advised against using a product like this, but did it anyway, because I am an idiot and was desperate. The best thing about this set up was the mic stand. Even still, because the mic stand only attaches to the mic by a clip, and because mics are not balanced, my mic would constantly tip forward, taking the entire foam ball with it. I ended up not using the foam thing at all because it did nothing and made the weight even more imbalanced. The foam itself did absolutely nothing to improve my sound quality. If you're traveling, save yourself the $60, buy a cheap mic stand, and build a pillow and blanket fort around the mic.

Great compatibility
I was nervous it won’t work with my condenser mic’s shock mount but decided to take a chance since it is advertised as a 2-in-1 isolation booth for both side-address and front-address mics and should definitely work with my handheld mic. Very glad I did! It fits my condenser mic with shock mount perfectly. The sound quality of my streaming is noticeably better with the pop filter attached on the foam ball.I didn’t need to use the included stand since my microphone sits on its own stand, but I tried to mount the dual mic bar that I purchased from the same brand last year and it fit perfectly. I am extremely happy with my purchase!

Provides excellent sound isolation, useful in several positions
Its a touch bulky, but this foam isolation ball works wonders with a microphone. Its designed to completely enclose a microphone, providing isolation from room and outdoor noise, includes a pop filter for close in speech or singing. Be aware that you'll need a very stable microphone stand to use this, as it adds a bit of weight to your microphone. There is a small desktop stand included with the ball, but I've found it to be a bit tippy and unreliable! I've added a few strips of velcro to make the ball a bit more stable.I find it useful for recording voice in my rather resonant practice room, which has bare walls and a distinct reverb that isn't always pleasant. It also masks the sound of AC in the room - not totally, but enough that I can make much better recordings even when the noisy machinery is running! It all but eliminates all outside noises, including traffic noise and sirens. Most important, it significantly reduces feedback when I'm using my monitor speakers. I can maximize the gain from my mic without ugly, loud feedback shrieks! If you are looking for an inexpensive way to get cleaner recordings in a less that perfect recording space, this is a very useful tool!

Perfect for Podcasters
I own a recording studio and I also teach radio production and podcasting at a college in the Boston area. This has helped my podcasting students tremendously. It's been useful in class and in the spare room we use for student recordings. Room echos and background noise is reduced (not eliminated). For recording music I would go with another solution, as it does produce a somewhat VO specific tone due to it deadening the sound so much. The dynamics of a singer are somewhat diminished. This would be excellent for podcasters or web meetings.

SIMPLURFI Recording Booth – A Solid Build, But Consider Microphone Compatibility
The SIMPLURFI Recording Booth is a well-built, portable microphone isolation ball designed to improve vocal recording quality in a home studio. While the product looks great on paper, I quickly realized that it's not the best match for my Elgato Wave microphone. The Wave is not omnidirectional, and its unique shape makes it difficult to fit properly with this isolation booth. That being said, I didn't return the product because I plan to purchase a more compatible microphone, and I expect this booth will work much better with a mic designed for such use. What I do appreciate about the SIMPLURFI booth is the sturdy build. The foam used is thick and durable, which should do a great job of blocking out background noise and enhancing vocal clarity. One feature I found particularly useful is the ability to insert the microphone either from underneath or from the back, providing flexibility based on your setup. This shows attention to detail in the design, and I think it will make a significant difference once I pair it with a more suitable microphone. While I haven’t been able to test it fully due to the microphone mismatch, I’m optimistic that with the right equipment, this booth will perform well. I'll be sure to leave an updated review once I’ve had the chance to test it with a microphone better suited to its design. For now, if you’re considering this product, just be mindful of your microphone’s shape and size to ensure a proper fit. Otherwise, it’s a solid choice for anyone looking to improve the sound quality of their home studio recordings.
