Not for younger children.
Much easier to use than the original spirograph. It says for ages 3 and up but I think it is too hard for a 3 year old to do alone and be successful at it. I think it is more appropriate for children around age 7. It does require dexterity and patience. It is sturdy and will last a long time. The pens dry out quicky but you can use regular colored jell pens.

My 3-year-old grandson had wanted to play with his father’s regular Spirograph, which is developmentally inappropriate for him, so this set is a godsend. He can handle this one just fine and loves it! A bit expensive but worth it.

Great gift for 3-8 years old
Bought for my 5 y/o granddaughter- she absolutely loves it as does her 3 y/o brother. It’s easy to use. Although the 3y/o needs some help, the 5 y/0 has no problem at all. Keeps them busy creating for an hour or so! Highly recommend!

Got as a gift. Came too late for that. It did arrive in good condition.
