This is the first time I have bought an electric fly swotter after I was recommended by my sister. It really works. It's easy to use and charge with nice big buttons if you have arthritic hands. I particularly like the fact you can place it in the holder for outdoor use when having food outside without the nuisance of flies going near your food. I read a review someone left about the purple light not showing up? I never found this the case, as you can see from my photo, you can see the purple light even in day time. I'm guessing this helps to attract the flies/mosquitoes, especially at night. I've had it a few months now and it charges up as it should and working well.

We were being overrun by swarms of nats and mossies that are attracted to our house lights (even when they're off) - so we tried a passive trap that used UV light and suction, but after 24 hours it didn't catch anything at all!Instead, I thought I'd give this a go - and although I don't really like killing insects of any kind, it works really, really well - on first use, I just waved it around, lots of tiny crackles and sparks and they were gone!A day later we get the odd one of two but nothing like the small cloud we had before.So if you don't have any hang-ups of terminating bugs then you get serious satisfaction hearing them get zapped by this racket.

This product works when you swat flies or hold the bay over them. I’ve not found that it attracts flies when it’s just stood in the room. In all though I’m happy with it for the quality and price

A lesson learned here - I did not open the item until over 30 days after buying, which meant I wasn't entitled to a return or refund if faulty. I charged the swatter but 90% of the LEDs failed to light (thus failing to attract insects while on its stand) so evidently was not fully functional from new. Fortunately an Amazon advisor accepted a return, so thanks for that.As such this item was faulty so only one star rating given.

It’s powerful and effective but the blue light doesn’t attract the flies. But when you get near them with it……. BOOM they evaporate

since summer has come, there have been a lot of mosquitoes flying around the house and this fly swatter does the job perfectly. It fries the mosquitoes / any other pesky flies quickly and has a long lasting battery from my experience. It's also very easy to use and I haven't had any problems with this product, genuinely cant complain and if you're thinking about buying I would give it a go (especially in the summer, save your body from mosquito bites!)

Simple to use.. Charged up and gave those annoying fruit flies an early firework show! As the other reviews say, it certainly makes you jump when you zap your first fly! A nice flash and crack and the fly is dispatched instantly!. This is a great product, and great fun to use as well - might even lose a few lbs whilst prancing around after flies! Seriously though, Its a great purchase!

Has been on charge for 2 days and has hardly moved from beyond the first upright bar. Very disappointed! The circle and other bars have not lit up at all, what can I do?
