So it DOES NOT COVER CRACKS
The screen I got arrived cracked. Unfortunately, I didn't open it until after the return window. So , no problem I thought, I bought a protection plan that clearly states in the add it covers broken screen etc. Well , NO. I go to file the claim, Asurion says it actually does not cover what I specifically bought the coverage for. ..

These plans are very helpful when you need to buy an item that needs to last longer than the typical 1 year Manufacturer's Warranty.I don't always buy these immediately with my purchase but sometimes afterwards. If you buy the protection plan separately, just register it with Assurion on their website and Chat with Assurion Customer Service and they can link the two together.
