Excellent
Exactly what I expected. Cooked in shallow oil at 160degC. Perfectly light, crispy and tasty . Excellent value at less than 20p per poppadom. Well packaged with no breakage. Will definitely be purchasing again.

Value for money
Product is reasonably good. Some of the poppadoms were a bit broken but that's not a major problem. They were tasty when cooked and we enjoyed them.

Mixed
2 of the 3 packs were great, one was smashed up black pepper flavour - must be a mistake. Pity.

Something had to give
I do not generally buy foodstuffs on line, preferring to shop locally, but as I now live over a one hour (each way) drive from a decent authentic supplier something had to give. I would have made a test purchase of just one 200g packet had this been possible, but that would have been a mistake as when mailing three together they become robust enough to withstand being posted in just a padded envelope. This relieved a minor concern, and has saved the need for a rapid re-order. I suspect that these are hand made, being very slightly varied in size, shape, and thickness. Not enough variation to matter once cooked, of course. I did need to find a different container, though, as my current one was just a few millimetres too small. The flavour is most pleasing, and vastly better than the pre-cooked sort that is all I can obtain round here. Even if one could guarantee freshness I suspect that the supermarket product is designed mainly to survive handling, rather than for delicate texture and flavour as are the Lijjat variety. Each 200g packet contains about 14 pappadoms. I find that frying them quickly in pairs at 180 degrees C in flavourless oil, then a few minutes to drain (on edge) in a 100 degrees C oven, gives me good results.

Papads not poppadoms!
Papads not poppadoms. Please get the correct name. I didn't want papads i wanted their thicker cousins the poppadoms. These are thin and useless. Might as well just go to tesco and buy the sharwoods poppadoms at least I'll get the right thing!
