My wife has a longstanding shoulder injury following a car accident and been applying heat therapy regularly this last month in an attempt to properly recover, but using a hot water bottle can be awkward and she cannot do that at work, so we wanted an alternative like this.At the right temperature it provides a deep, pleasant, moist heat that lasts 15-20 minutes and does alleviate the pain. We also like the convenient large good size, so it will cover a whole shoulder or a leg etc as required. It feels very soft and moulds easily around the body, so full marks on this one.The instructions suggest heating in a microwave for 3 minutes, which seemed too hot with our 900W microwave, so I would suggest testing and 2 minutes may be enough. So far we haven’t had the need to try this for cold therapy, but the dual use capability makes this one a winner and it should last years.

The thing I like most about this is the weight of it. You could put it on a sore shoulder and feel comforted by the weight of it. It's very nice! However, it's real purpose if for heat relief and it does that really good. Pop it in the microwave for a minute (depending on how powerful your microwave is) and enjoy the soothing heat. It didn't come with any heating instructions so you'll need to experiment a little to get the best results for the equipment you have at home but I'm sure you'll be glad you used it because it's very warming.
