If I wanted used I would have purchased used for a cheaper price. As you saw wire cutter packaging was opened then reclosed. The plastic wrap on the snaps had also been opened not even sure if all are there. Would have returned if I hadn't run out of time needed them and no time to return and get a new package. And yes had to utube how to use because instructions were next to none.

This kit comes with so much stuff! There are probably enough snaps included for the rest of my life. The tool itself is easy to use and works well. This kit has everything you need to put snaps on right away.

I wanted to like these. The colors are great; and it’s got a large quantity for sewing projects.The problem comes in, because the rings of the snaps themselves are so flimsy. You couldn’t force the pronged piece through more than a thin piece of fabric (much less any of the projects that I had in mind with heavy fabrics and and even thin leather) with out the prongs just curling up and getting mangled.Think trying to get a light staple through too many pages of paper….

So far this works great! It was really easy to use, and I love all the colors that are included.I do have arthritis and I was still able to use the pliers. The color assortment is great, because you can use it with any color of fabric that you have. I love that it came in a nice storage case, that keeps the assorted colors are separate. I practiced on a piece of cotton and did not have any issues with this. I am not quite sure with the long silver metal piece is for. I must have lost the directions, or maybe they were not included. I’d really recommend the set for any other seamstress!

I love this thing. It is easy and fun to use.I got this to put snap buttons on a few items that use velcro to fasten (a workout vest, bicycle shoe) but the velcro has worn out and does not hold.It was a snap (!) to put the stud and socket pairs into the fabric, and squeeze the fastener plier.I am not a craft fan, but this was so easy I was impressed. Now I am looking for things to put these buttons on.Highly recommended for many uses: add buttons to old pants or shorts that need a new button, fix shirts that have missing buttons, add extra buttons where a gap exists, or use it to decorate with the prong rings.
