Best for Clam Chowder
I bought it only for clam chowder and it did its best. The juice is salty and contains all the clam's flavor. The meat despite not being too flavorful, did well with its price.I can make a good breakfast within 20 min with this product. Love it.

Good clams in lotsa water
I used these in clam chowder and they were good and chewy like you would expect clams to be, but I had to use three cans because there was so much water in each can for one batch of clam chowder that yielded about 8 cups. Based on that the value wasn’t as good as other brands that don’t pack their clams in as much liquid.

No grit, but not many clams either
As far as the product, the clams are wonderful and there was no sand in any of the cans. That said, it was at least two thirds liquid. I was shocked at the number of clams in each can. I’ve decided to try the larger single cans and hopefully it will be a better value. Not sure that I would buy the small cans again. 3/5 stars based on value.
