The book is an excellent overview to the science of reading. The book is organized in such a way that is easy to follow, engaging, and relevant. The text, graphics, and overall flow of the books is excellent. This was extremely informative, closely follows the science of reading, and gives clear action items. The additional resources are great! It has QR codes that give links to videos and resources so that you can implement the activities without any hassle. Overall, I have read a lot of science of reading resources, and this one so clearly explains everything! I highly recommend for someone new to the science of reading, or someone who is familiar, but wants more tips on implementation!

Accessible Tools for the Classroom!
I appreciate an immediate resource that I can adapt to my classroom literacy program! The author created a user-friendly way to digest a ton of information. For now, I have more research-based tools that I can add to what I am already doing. In addition, I am looking forward to checking out the bonus materials as well. I plan on sharing this out with my elementary school teachers as well as my friends with littles. Fun activities to help build new readers whether in the classroom or at home!

Educational and informative
I needed this book for a course I was taking and it is very informative. I loved the science break down of the brain. Truly helped me understand what students with learning disabilities go through when learning to read.

This book is eye opening in regards to the foundational skills required to be a successful reader!
I enjoyed this book so much that I will continue to open it up and use it as a daily resource. The author explains the foundation of reading and how the brain works. I would recommend this book to all teachers who are teaching the foundations of phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, and all the other components necessary for our readers.

Easy read. Good intro to SoR
A quick but informative read. An excellent source for teachers getting started with good practices. The author also includes freebies which you can access with a QR code. If you already have some knowledge in SoR and are looking to go deeper this isn't the book.

Great book.
Love this book. She does such a great job taking the SoR knowledge and breaking it down for all to understand. I’d like to do a book study with my colleagues using this book bc it’s not a heavy read but full of good stuff.
