Thank goodness I found this....
Last year was our 2nd worst winter on record (where the worst was just a few years before that) and having window ACs that stay in year-round, I needed something more to seal out the cold than the typical vinyl AC covers that do nothing to insulate, let alone to keep most of the cold winds out. Over the years, just to cover the exterior sides, top, and front air vents, I have tried bubble wrap, styrofoam cut to size and taped in place, plastic drop cloths, you name it. Inevitably, all of these materials seemed to disintegrate half-way through the winter (even with the vinyl cover on). Use of the internal room-facing AC covers (both cloth and plastic) didn't help either. While searching around for more substantial covers, I stumbled upon this product and its 5-star reviews so I purchased a roll. I was elated at how easy it was to measure and cut pieces to size and I have wrapped one AC today. I had joined the pieces with some aluminum tape, attached the finished insulation enclosure to the AC cabinet with some more tape, covered that with the vinyl cover, and secured the whole thing with a long, heavy-duty bungee cord. I hope to be able to re-use the enclosures each year - just detach from the ACs, fold flat, and store. I can already foresee other uses for this product! I may buy more to try for mini greenhouse use. EDIT: May 25, 2015 - As an update, this was perfect over the winter as insulation around the exterior of my window AC units (with a regular vinyl cover over it), as February alone was around the 5th coldest on record here. I even used pieces to help insulate the exterior sides of the AC accordion panels). This past spring, I was able to easily remove the coverings that I constructed and stow them away for use next season. I am now using additional cut pieces from the roll attached to the same AC units to redirect the hot air exhaust away from nearby plants. Great product and highly recommend!

Good alternative to Reflectix
This product has very much the same quality and functionality as the Reflectix bubble insulation. It also is just as effective as Reflectix in keeping the radiant heat out. It's great that it's cheaper too. I have an old, non-insulated house with old, non-insulated windows. In the heat of the Alabama afternoon, the heat in my living room cannot be slowed down by blinds and air conditioning alone. I stapled InfraStop to the window frames and covered them with wood blinds. The heat is much more bearable now and my air conditioner comes on much less often. I miss the natural light. But I have 5000K cool white LED bulbs in my lamps and I cannot tell a difference. Thank you InfraStop!

Really Helps Insulate!!!
I used this throughout my whole house as the insulation in my walls is very poor. 1 roll was enough for 3 floors in my house. I have steam heat radiators, so I didn't want the heat escaping to the outside. After placing behind my radiators though, you could really feel the difference in the house! My home is actually warm now!!! & We did notice it helped cut our heating bill down, too.

Made window coverings
Satisfied with this product. I had the idea to make some radiant heat reflecting window coverings for the car and I chose these. It's basically TWO sheets of bubble wrap with aluminized mylar on the non-bubbled sides. The bubbled sides face each other, creating air pockets for insulation. While the outsides are covered in reflective aluminum to deflect radiant energy. These hold their shape decently just by themselves, but for me I chose to glue them to cardboard backings to keep them from bowing inwards after a while. As for the burning questions many people may have..... ......NO you can't pop the bubble wrap with ease and satisfaction. And YES, I highly recommend this product.

Great product!
Great product!! Used it to insulate a 70 gallon aquarium, that I keep in the garage, to age and condition water to use for water changes to indoor aquariums. Using 4 heaters couldn't maintain the temp I needed ... now, I sometimes have to unplug them!! Very easy to work with, too.

Idk Probably a great product - irritated w/ a step during packaging
Paper label stickers on the product itself aggravated me quite a bit. How hard is it to just put em on the clear wrapping it arrives in? I'm using the product in rv windows and would prefer that both sides are uniform, not one side with labels on it. Tried peeling em off but they just tear and leave the paper adhesive backing part, cant decide which looks worse- intact labels or patchy sticker paper backing. The product is probably wonderful but the full effect has diminished just from this easily avoidable problem. If you place em on the wrapping, you preserve the labels purpose and eliminate unsightly nuisances such as the ones still sticking to the top right corner on the first sheet I cut of product to use, in my particular case. Wish I could have left a 5 star review based just on the product's functionality rather than aesthetic demerits in a situation which could be avoided so easily

Great for insulating Travel Trailer windows
We used this to insulate our travel trailer windows while camping in freezing temperatures. Our trailer is not built for the extreme cold and this did a remarkable job of keeping the windows insulated during the freezing nights. The trailer stayed noticeably warmer with these on the windows. These also work great for keeping the sun / heat out and the trailer cooler. You do lose the nice natural light though. We use it to block the sun light when our boys go down for naps in the bunks.
