Fantastic dripper, but pay attention to sizing
It's a Hario V60 which means it's one of the best coffee drippers you can get. The plastic design means that it doesn't absorb heat from the slurry which is awesome and makes for better coffee than ceramic or glass. If your intention is to make more than 1 mug (~300 ml of coffee, ~320ml brew water) of coffee then the 03 size is great, it will allow you to make 2-4 mugs easily. However if you are only making 1 mug then I'd recommend the 02 size as you want to have the spout of your kettle as close to the water as possible and brew from a constant height. With the 03 brewer you will get more agitation because the kettle has to be held relatively further above the slurry (meaning the water is more likely to hit the slurry in drops/turbulent flow rather than laminar flow), so the 02 should produce slightly better results if you are brewing small quantities.

Simple, cheap and clean
I wanted something cheap to start preparing coffee, easy to use, to clean, transparent and not very big size. That's what it is.

Works well, but is plastic
This works really well, but with few months the dripper will be full of scratches even if you take really good care.

Works great
Works really well, just follow the simple instructions and use the scoop supplied. Make sure to buy the right filters though as I made that error. Once you have the filter in the dripper run some hot water over the filter to wash out the papery taste. Then add the coffee and pour just enough water to cover the coffee and let it bloom for a minute. Then circle the hot water over the coffee making sure not to get the sides. Keep an eye on the mug to make sure you’re not overfilling and that’s about it. Great thing to leave in the work staff room etc so you can always have good coffee

5 Sterne!

I make a full 850ml of coffee with this thing every morning plus another 500ml in the afternoon. It’s added real class to my ritual, not to mention the coffee tastes amazing. It’s pretty fool proof if you get the ratio of coffee to water right because it has a nice steep time; a full filter takes about 6 minutes to drip through from start to finish. Bonus that it’s very pretty and fits on almost anything you might want to make coffee in—I have a carafe I love and it fits perfectly. I wash it by hand and don’t plan to put it in the dishwasher so I’m sure it will last a very long time. It still looks brand new after 2 months of twice daily use.

So I wanted to transition from a hollow ceramic dripper which had a very specific cup size requirement. It was good for my fave mug but nothing else. Family issues with that. I decided to try this plastic pour over. It was capacious and very flexible with regard to the cup/insulated jug size it will accomodate. All good except dufus move #1, I ordered the smallest (#1) size and I really wanted the largest #3 size. But I did not understand Hario sizing having only used filters for size 2 and 4 pour overs. Also I was negligent and did zero research... I am in a rush.. so boom! done! All of us have been there, Right? Then I get this little tiny #1 pour over. I am thinking do I contribute it to my Grand Daughters miniature kitchen set or do I return it? OK, returned the #1 for the #3. Got that bigger one and now I am ready to roll. So dufus #2 move... I "rolled" with my old #4 coffee filters which I used in my original (and many other) pourover. After ruining several cups of coffee as the bottoms of these filter blew out, I finally went to you tube and " what the ..... is going with this coffer pour over? Yea...finally....I know. Anyway, it turns out the Hario pour over design requires a conical filter. Once I figured this out I ordered the correct filter and have fallen in love with this pour over. Why? Excellent stability Broad base for different container opening sizes Durable and I like the see through Single fill of the #3 will deliver almost 12 oz coffee The filtering system rocks! Although gormands would probably be aghast at this, I will prep two or three cups of coffee using same filter and grounds while adding additional fresh grounds at each pouring. Some of my filters really slow down when attempting this. This system performs much more efficiently. I commit this heresy to save a little $ on the filter side but also because I am aboard a boat and this minimizes waste volume. Win Win. I am a convert to Hairo.
