I have been looking for awhile for a comfortable, cool pillow. I bought 2 on Amazon that I returned. The Groye pillow was cool from the minute I took it out of the box! It was soft but not too soft. I didn't have to put it in the dryer to fluff it up, however I did kind of do that with my hands. It comes with a very nice zippered pillow case. I love this pillow! My search is over! When you lie down on it, you sink in but not too much. It has excellent neck support and oh-so-cool! I do find myself flipping the pillow over maybe once in the night but I don't mind. It's the best cooling pillow I have found and I've been looking for a long time! Not to mention you can't beat the price!

When I first opened the pillow, I thought the height was perfect. But then I put in the dryer like they said and it ballooned up. I'm a back sleeper and occasionally a side sleeper. The expanded pillow would not work for a back sleeper but they said I could take some of the fill out. Did that and it did the trick.Before going to bed, I manipulate the fill so more is on the sides, so when I do turn to be a side sleeper it is comfortable.

I love how soft it is and the ability to adjust the thickness without tearing open the seam. It is definitely cooling and very high quality. It also comes with an additional pillow covering. Stop shopping around for pillows and just get those one!

Update 10/31/23:After having had this pillow for a couple of months now, I've realized it's the larger pillow *case,* not the pillow itself, that has a cooling quality. The pillow is as any other. Nothing special in regards to cooling. I was using the smaller pillowcase to create greater pillow volume, and had put the larger pillowcase in the linen closet. I noticed that every time I moved that larger pillowcase in the linen closet to get to something else, it was cold to the touch! So I put it on the pillow, and yes, upon initial use, it is way cooler than your typical pillowcase. But then it warms up quickly as your head lays on it. Flip it over for a little bit more coolness for a brief while. Repeat. So heed note - it's not the pillow; it's the larger pillowcase that cools. I guess it would work with any pillow.Original review:This is probably the first pillow I've gotten that is comfortable when brand new. Other ones have given me a crick in my neck until I break it in. This one is super comfortable. I really like it. I'm using it with my own pillowcase over the one it came with. It's kind of heavier than a regular pillow due to the type of filling, but this is fine. This is the first pillow I've had that came with an instruction manual. You're supposed to fluff it up in the dryer before the first use, which it did fluff up nicely. As for the cooling effect, I don't see it. It gets warmer as my head lays on it pretty much like any other pillow. However, when I flip it over, the other side is a little cooler than my old pillow would've been, so there's that. But certainly not "icy," which I had been hoping for. Overall I'm happy with the pillow and have already recommended it to others!

Evaluated online, purchased, received, and fluffed as directed. First night: Never had this happen - fell asleep around 11:00 pm (I think); woke up at 7:00 am with my iPhone still in my hand, glasses on, and my reading light also on. What the hell happened? The second night, went to sleep as usual around 11:00 pm and woke up the next day at noon. AN AMAZING PILLOW!! Comfy, perfect in just about every way.

I found that the pillow was fully filled and liked that you could alter it to your sleeping position. It’s cool but like all cool pillows it does get warmer which I found in other cool pillows. I find that I do sleep better using it. My neck discomfort has improved tremendously. Of all the cool pillows I’ve bought this one tops them. So I would recommend this pillow.

This pillow is as thin as a pancake and does not stay cool. Originally feels cool to the touch, but after laying on it, it gets hot just like all other pillows. I'm a side sleeper. This pillow is literally the thinnest pillow I have ever purchased. I'm returning it.

Wish I had found this pillow years ago. I recommend trying the pillow with more filling than you think you might need. I removed some of the filling, and while the pillow still looks thicker than I am used to, it is like laying back on a cloud and has reduced my neck issues.
