Anyone who has seen the one page tips in a golf magazine will recognize the essence of this book. It doesn't go into depth, instead it will have a sketched image of what you should be doing along with a paragraph or two of explaination.The tips have been organized into specific areas, setup, grip, and power for example to make it easier to find what you're looking for.Keep in mind it's not intended to teach, just offer quick tips and advice and as such I pick it up just to flip through it to jog my memory at times. Originally over-priced at $25, I bought it for $7.95 and found it worthwhile at that price as a good reminder of what I should be doing by one of the best who has ever play the game.

For the target audience, this book was great! The format of simple 1-2 page tips was easy to comprehend and the chapters were laid out based on the many facets of the game. It was especially refreshing that many of the tips weren't "do it only this way" but provided options so you could decide what works best for you. Finally, even the most experienced golfer will find a few nuggets of wisdom worth knowing about. I only wish I had read this book when I first started out.

As a 13 yr old in the '70's, I found Jacks short lessons in a monthly golf magazine to be very understandable and easy to implement. These are just a few paragraphs long. Who wants to wade through a whole chapter before trying a new tip anyway? I was looking for something short and concise for my 9 yr old that would hold his interest and this book is a collection of the very lessons I used to read. It's still a little much to expect for a 9 yr old, but he can cut his teeth on it. They do not have to be read in any particular order. You can just flip through until you find one that interests you.

I really like the format of this instructional book. I’m putting it in my bag! Who doesn’t want to golf like Nicklaus?!

There's plenty of gems in this book so well worth getting.

This book has it all in guiding players to improve all facets of their games. If there is one golf training book you need, ditch the lessons and buy this instead.

Many appropriate tips and diagrams/pictures. I am completely satisfied with this book, gave me exactly what I was looking for to tune up my setup and swing........

Still a good book but I think most of the contents are more tips and may or may not work for everyone. I prefer a more systematically put together book like the Tom Watson one.
