I tend to purchase items sold on Amazon such as this based on customer reviews. I figure that if 500 or more customers rate something 4 star or above, the product might be worth checking out. I think I will up that threshold to 1,000 or more after this purchase.First of all, paddle and attachments are made from the cheapest plastics on earth. I’ve no doubt that under the best of care, the components would begin to fail within six months. Based on its construction, I wasn’t about to test my theory. I decided to send it back after only three uses.During its maiden voyage, I made the lemon gelato. Gelato it did fine and I was very impressed. Then I attempted to make cheesecake ice cream. I followed the manufactures recipe book to the “T” and ended up with a soupy mess. I errored on the side of fairness because I only froze the bowl for 16 hours and not 24 as there manufacture suggested.I tried to make honey ice cream. Again, I used the recipe provided in the manufactures book of recipe’s. This time I let the bowl freeze for about 30 hours. I ended up with a soft serve milkshake.The owners manual states the machine will shut off automatically after 30 minutes. I’m not sure whose measurement of time they are going by when they stated this, but mine just kept going until I shut it down.…….washed it out, placed it back in the box and set it by the door to be returned to Amazon.This thing is a total waste of time and money. Buyer beware!

Great for small batches. Clean up is a bit involved. Feeding hole is much to small for adding any fruit unless sliced super small. Also do not add any sugar it is already sweetened if you add fruit or a flavored yogurt.

Does get the ice cream cold enough and it doesn’t make enough

This works really well for vegan ice cream. The recipe used in this pic was 2.5 cups of extra creamy oat milk, 1/4tsp sodium citrate, 1 tsp guar gum, 4 tbsp of each: sucralose, allulose, stevia, monk fruit sweetener, saccharin powder, aspartame sweetener, 1 tsp wonder flavors candy banana flavor, and 3 tsp of egg replacer. Turns out very similar to frozen yogurt but very low calorie, especially if you use unsweetened oat milk. The variety of artificial sweeteners I've found to be necessary to make the ice cream sweet enough without it tasting too artificial. You can add a tablespoon of cane sugar for an even better flavor. The quart or so of vegan ice cream here is only around 340 calories while being super sweet and creamy. helps scratch the sweet tooth itch without breaking your caloric budget.

I love this ice cream maker! Very easy to make delicious ice cream. Fun and quick to make the ice cream. Recipes in accompanying recipe booklet are easy to make. I bought one for myself and after using mine, I ordered another as a gift.Great buy!

The paddle doesn’t reach close enough to the wall of the maker container. It leaves a thick hard frozen layer on bottom and sides. Very hard to get off. Annoying.Also the item I received was obviously used. Manual roughed up, styrofoam padding inside shipping box damaged by the last person who had this one. Shipping box showed no sign of wear and tear. Cord unwound without a tie.I would return but cannot, due to having tried it.The plastic lid doesn’t hold securely while in operation.
