FaTip Italian Open Comb Safety Razor - No Blades Included

Good razor and I get a great shave.however the handle was too short for me. I prefer a 100 mm handle.Was a good price and arrived on time and packed right.

The FaTip is not for beginners. While the aggressive shave is still milder than the Muhle R41 open comb ( Muhle R41 Safety Razor ), it is by no means a pussycat. If your DE shaving technique is anything but excellent, you will be left with a very smooth and very raw face. However, for the seasoned DE shaver, this is a very good razor at a very reasonable price. Compared to the Teutonic engineering brilliance of Merkur and Muhle, the FaTip is an Alfa Romeo to their BMW/Mercedes. The FaTip's finish leaves something to be desired, with uneven plating and tiny bumps. However, the razor is about half the price of the German equivalents and it "drives" just as well.The FaTip is a fine, if unexceptional looking razor; a tad on the small side and quite lightweight. However, it is well balanced in the hand and as long as you apply no pressure when shaving (a universal tip, not just for this razor), the FaTip will leave you with as good a final shave the Muhle R41 -- at least, it does on my face. While the razor demands respect, it isn't as unforgiving as the Muhle.For those ready to step up to an open comb razor, the FaTip should be on your shortlist. Beginners should probably look elsewhere. My recommendation is the Merkur 34c ( Merkur 34C Double Edge Razor (Safety razor) ).

I have recently purchased both versions of this razor, Don't be afraid.It's an absolutely brilliant open comb! Yes all the reviews everywhere are right, the finish isn't the best.. Meh.My other favourite razors are a Matador Toro Mastiff & a Weber Bulldog,i stopped using the Edwin Jagger razors quite a while ago as they're great for beginners but as i've progressed on this journey i've found them way too mild!Buy one, they won't be around forever.Cheers.

I have slant bars and standard DE razors. Beware of this one, it's a beast. Very very aggressive shave. Good if you need to shave your head, but the face is a bit sore.
