So much better to use than constantly replacing batteries.

Last well on charge from standard phone charger.

I like the idea of having a Brio train that is chargeable via USB. However, this is a little underpowered compared to the standard battery versions. It doesn’t have sufficient power, even fully charged, to make it up a ramp for one of the Brio bridges (which the battery versions take with ease).

The media could not be loaded.  This is a smart engine and quite easy to use. I can be charged via any USB Micro B cable. Due to the styling there is no magnetic coupling on the front but this is common to all the real looking Brio locamotives. This model does lack a free wheel feature so it's not so good as a push you which is a shame. The locamotives will pull all 6 tricks that my grandson owns up one set of slopes that we have but the other seems to be more slippy and the wheels do not get enough traction. All in all its a nice you and whether it's owner, his parents or I get more not out of our is difficult to tell.

Good length of change and can haul a long train up and down easily.

This was a great answer to my 18 month old grandson who was frustrated by the battery model.
