Very user friendly humidity sensor switch
I installed this switch with a fan/light combo fixture and it was very simple to install and set up. I had to pull a new 14/3 romex to replace the 40 year old 14/2 wire original with the house, but connecting this switch was a breeze. The programming instructions are also very easy to understand. The switch functions great, turning on automatically about a minute into a shower, and turning off automatically after the programmed duration. Its a little pricey, but I'm confident this switch will effectively reduce the humidity in this mold-prone bathroom.

Worth the money
My son kwot forgetting to run the fan when he showered so I ordered this switch. It comes on by its self and doesn't takes that long to kick on one I have the shower going. Maybe a minute or so. If you turn the fan on manually the fan will shut off by its self after 20 minute which is nice. A lot of times I'll run the fan then leave for work and don't have to worry about it being on all day. You can change the setting on it to be less sensitive and the amount of time the fan runs but I was fine with the way it came programmed. I was worried it wouldn't be that great especially for how much it cost but it works a lot better than expected

Nifty switch
Fantastic bathroom switch. The fan can be set to turn off after a set amount of time-- no more fan running throughout the night. Also great that it can be set to automatically sense humidity and turn on if someone forgets. This switch is ideal if you have tenants or kids that forget easily.

Great switch buttons could be better
The media could not be loaded. The switch is great and works great but it could be better. Leviton has a good reputation, so I purchased this one but it's still missing like light at the buttons and still waiting on reliability, had it for a month now and it's really good could not find anything better and the competition was a little better but an unknown name, so went for reliability. I'll update on the summer to see how it performs with the humidity here.Worth the purchase, no need for 2 switches and humidity detector for when people forget to turn on the fan is a big plus.

Works great
I like this product because it does the work on its own soon as it detects hummidity it turns on the exhaust fan on since my teenage daughter never thinks of turning it on when she takes a 1 hour shower.

Easy to install, worked first time
This switch was easy to install and worked on the first try. What was harder was finding which breakers controlled what circuit!

Easy install, but have to change from flipping a switch to pushing button.
Replacing a double switch that only the power goes through, so the red wire goes to the power on the light, the blue to the power on the fan, the black hot goes to the incoming black hot, and the green sleeved wire and the green/yellow wire attach to the ground. There are a couple of wiring diagrams to match what you have.Save your instructions. There are a couple of charts that you might want to reference if you want to change the defaults.Programming:Not difficult, but who would remember?1) Hold the LIGHT and FAN buttons down for 5 seconds The green light will come on for 5 seconds2) Press the LIGHT button to cycle through 1, 2, & 3 settings 1=Length of time fan stays on (green flashes) 2=How much humidity before the fan comes on automatically (amber flashes) 3=Operating mode (red flashes)3) Once you choose 1, 2, or 3, (green, amber, or red) press the FAN button to cycle within the choice. There will be either 1, 2, 3, or 4 LEDs lit (4 choices within each level). For example, if you pick the amber level and have 4 LEDs lit, the fan will come on at 80% RH).4) To save and exit, hold either button down for 5 seconds. The green light will stay on for 5 seconds and then go off, saving the settings. The defaults are1) Fan will stay on for 20 minutes after starting (manually or automatically) (2 LEDs lit)2) The fan will come on when RH reaches 50% (2 LEDs lit)3) The fan will come on and off automatically (1 LED lit)If you choose option 4 on setting 3 (operating mode), it resets the switch to defaults.Another mode is to cycle on and off for 24 hours such as in a damp basement. You can program the switch to run the fan for 20 minutes out of every hour for example. The only negative so far is that my wife doesn't like the push-button switches. I think she likes swatting the toggle switch without looking and she can't do that with this, especially in the dark. An LED under each switch (light and fan) might improve it enough to fix this complaint.Don't lose the instructions unless the defaults are what you want forever. I kind of wish they had some memory settings as in the winter I like the 65% and 10 minute setting to hold some moisture in the house, but I know in the summer I'll go back to 50% and 20 minutes. It was much easier and cheaper than installing a light/fan that had a humidity sensor built in.30 Dec 2023 Update: The humidity switch stopped operating. Even in test mode and blowing humid air into the switch in a steamy bathroom can't get the fan to turn on. Tried all 4 humidity settings and none will trigger the fan. All the setting lights still come on and flash, but no fan. The fan does come on manually for the amount of time set (10- 20- 30- & 45-minutes), so I'm not putting the old double switch back in yet, as the auto-off is still a nice feature.4 stars - good while it worked - minus one star for not making it 1 year before failure.Update: 15 Jan 2024 - minus 1 more star. After using the form on the Leviton support site twice to ask for help, there has been no acknowledgement of receipt or any response to either request for help. A 5-year warranty is useless if the manufacturer doesn't even communicate.3 stars

Works great !
Had a manual 2-switch for fan and light, but people had the habit of either forgetting to turn on fan during shower or leaving the fan on all day. This item solved the headache. Now the fan auto-starts based on humidity and turns itself off later on. Perfect !You can set the run times for use as a smell fan, various modes or complete override if you wish, quite configurable. All the config is done through the two front buttons. Easy to do, but definitely keep the manual (or grab a pdf and store on phone/pc).No wire nuts are included, but are required if you are upgrading from a screw terminated switch to this one. Neutral wire is not required , but it can be connected if you have one.My only beef is that the switch isn't very tactile. When you walk into the room and want to switch the light on, you have to seek out the button. Maybe I'll get used to the 'feel' of it eventually.
