Handy light weight quality compass
This is a handy, light weight, functional and well made compass that is totally usable. It's also got a level indicator that shows the angle of the level. It is easy to read and understand and show direction and simply handy to have. A great manual backup tool. It feels well made and of quality parts. It has no "slop" or looseness, but has precision and a quality feel even though its got a plastic body. I do recommend this compass.

Fell apart in my hand the moment I started using it fresh out of the package
Not a Vine review like all of the 5-6 reviews that just appeared on this otherwise review-less listing in the last couple of days, I am just the first person to review this as a normal purchaser. The bezel and the lens with the two luminescent markings on it popped off the second I tried to turn the bezel gently and they do not want to stay on securely. There might be 3-4 tiny little drops of glue that were holding the bezel onto the housing, on but they're so faint I can't be sure. I am not sure what their plan was for this thing remaining assembled. This can't be a serious compass. There's no way to trust it not to just fall apart in your hand under normal use conditions. Buy at your own risk. It's a shame because had this been plausibly constructed a lighter-weight version of this style of compass would be a welcome thing.

Lightweight and well designed
I actually like that this is made of plastic. A lot lighter than metal compasses, and don't have to worry about the potential of rust. Works as advertised, but the inclinometer on mine seems to get stuck. Have to shake the compass every time in order to get the needle to move. Other than that, it's a great piece of gear.

Terrific compass with built in inclinometer...
THE GOOD: -------------- * Awesome compass with a lot of bells and whistles. * There is a built in inclinometer on the back. This is to measure slope angles, elevation, vertical angles, etc. * Water resistant capsule * Built in 1:25000 ruler. * Build quality is sturdy abs plastic. * Very giftable for outdoorsy people. THE BAD: ----------- * Nothing at all, 5-Stars.

Good basic compass with some cool extras
Nice compass. Easy to read, with a glow numbers and a magnifier to help see small numbers. Notch to plot a course, and an elevation reader. The case is plastic, and while it seems sturdy enough, it would need to be protected from drops.

Nice compass
This is a good quality compass. The outside casing is made from a durable plastic. The level functions in a very accurate manner. It has a nice magnifying glass that allows you to read the numbers on the compass with ease. It is lightweight but yet feels durable. There are several other features built in as well.
