A lot of you are self tanning improperly
This self tanner is good...if you do it right. Before tanning you need to exoliate your body to get rid of dead skin or else it's patchy you also you should shave 24hr before and moisturize right before applying the tan to prevent over absorption. If you don't do these things of course it will look patchy and bad also using a tanning mit and small buff brush between fingers and toes helps. Even a good product looks bad with terrible application

Nice color
Accidentally bought the dark instead of medium but that didn’t matter, because it still looked nice. Not super orange or smelly, color looked nice after a light application. Will be using again and again

A pale girl's HERO!
This review may be a little extensive, but I just feel like I need to rave about this product for a second. My entire life, I have ALWAYS been the pale friend of the group. I'm talking, Irish white pasty skin. I can lay by the pool for days on end and never see a bit of olive color on my skin. I just normally burn and get more freckles. And I know there are those people reading this that are like "yup, that's me too!" Now, I haven't used self tanner in a whileeee. I've been burned many times by the failed attempts with Jergen's Natural Glow lotion or the several accidents using Fake Bake, and I don't want to mess up using a new product and have to go out in public and deal with the embarrassment of having Cheeto legs. Luckily, we are still in quarantine due to the outbreak of COVID-19, and I guess there really is a silver lining to everything. I figured this would be the perfect time to try a new self tanner since I don't have to see anyone if I have an accident with it! One day, I literally Googled, "self tanner that works best on pale skin," and I came across Loving Tan on a YouTuber's account (Shoutout to Conagh Kat!) Y'all....when I say this product is amazing....it's amazing. I was SUPER skeptical going into the experience, but I purchased everything other people's reviews said to. I bought this mousse, the face tanner from Loving Tan, an exfoliating glove, a mitt, the whole nine yards. I recommend going all the way if you're planning to try this out. I naturally have a yellow undertone, but this product gives off a red undertone which gave my skin a beautiful olive color that I've been missing all my life. I used a tanning mitt to apply it to the majority of my body, (I bought a St. Tropez mitt simply because it was cheaper than Loving Tan's) but I would use a makeup brush to help blend certain areas (ie. hands, elbows, neck). I applied this product at nighttime, slept in it, and showered off in the morning using water only. Beware because you're going to be extremely dark and perhaps dirty looking when you first wake up in the morning, but that's just the guide color. Once you shower, you'll be left with a beautiful tan! Because I am so pale and not yet the expert in self tanner, I started with the Medium shade. Believe me, if you're as white as me, that's all you'll need. I was already at least 2 shades darker, but it looked very natural. As I mentioned before, I paired it with the Loving Tan Face Tanner in medium (which I applied with a makeup brush). However, I wouldn't sleep all night in the face tanner. I only left it on for about an hour and a half and my face was already much darker. If you actual take the time to exfoliate and prep your skin, this stuff is the BEEZ-NEEZ. As far as longevity, if I had actually tried to moisturize consistently like you're suppose to, it would've probably lasted longer, however, even with my normal shower and skin routine, it still lasted about 4-5 days, which I feel is pretty impressive. When it comes down to it, I'd put Loving Tan up against anything. I will definitely ben using this all summer long!

Color is Great, other Aspects aren’t
I’m not sure how to feel about this yet, when I first rinsed this off the morning after applying, the color was beautiful with a small red undertone to it. Looked so natural. However, it fades so easily and fast. The next day it was already faded and anywhere I got water on myself, the tanner came off. It also comes off of your feet when wearing socks and shoes. To combat this, I was using their gradual tanning lotion, however that turned me completely orange. I’m going to try this tanning mousse again to see if it does any better, because I really do love the color it gives. I’m super pale, every time someone tells me they are pale, I hold my arm to theirs and I’m always worse. So if you’re really ghostly white, the color should turn out great, but I’m unsure of the quality regarding longevity and evenness. This costs more than other name brand, high quality tanners and the bottle is smaller than those other brands as well, so I refuse to use this multiple times a week just to keep up with the fading color. I (and most people) don’t have the time for that and I don’t trust myself enough to sleep in self tan the night before waking up for work either 😂

Best Self Tanner on the market.
Quite literally the best self tanner I’ve ever used. Does not streak & does not have the gross “fake tan” smell either. I just left it on an hour & rinsed off & it left the most natural looking tan. This is worth every penny!

Best tanning stuff ever
By far my favorite tanning product. It goes on so smooth and it is not orange. It’s worth the price. It also doesn’t smell.

Natural looking and lasts.
You won’t find a better self tanner. This one gives a really nice bronzed look and zero orange tone. I’m fairly particularly in the winter and this gives a natural tan without looking tacky. No one needs to be full on brown in the winter unless it’s natural. Because we all know fake tans when we see it. This won’t give you that look. It goes on even. Make sure you do the appropriate pre tan process to your skin before application to get the look you really want.

Not Worth $40 — Fades Too Quickly
I purchased this self-tanner for $40 expecting long-lasting results, but I was really disappointed. The color looked nice at first, but it washed off almost completely after just 4 days — far too soon for the price I paid.
