Great product at a great price

Love thus product. Easy directions. Kills clover within a day. Grass eventually fills in.

I don’t think this is the best product, but what do I know?

Product works as described and I have been pleased with the improvement in my lawn.

Supposedly, this product is full of ferrous sulfate, but unlike all other ferrous sulphate based Moss killers I’ve used, I don’t see much result… The moss does not go black… nothing seems to change. While it’s relatively inexpensive it’s also relatively ineffective. Waste of money in my view.

I've been buying this product for years but I was hesitant to do so this spring after reading some of the negative reviews that say it doesn't work as well as it used to and I almost went with a different brand. I decided to give Scotts one more try.Although my yard doesn't have many weeds, there were a few patches of clover and some other weeds here and there. After planning around the next rain forecast and exactly following the directions I applied it. After about a week the clover and other unidentified weeds were dead.It's been about three weeks since applying and there are absolutely no weeds in my yard, thanks to Scotts. The fertilizer is making my grass thick and lush. I have to mow every 3-4 days but I don't mind. It is choking out weeds from coming back. As long as it keeps working I will keep using Scotts.My only complaint is they will not deliver the 5,000 sq ft bags to my area because Scotts is apparently trying to weed out (pun intended) that size. Two 5,000 sq ft bags were perfect for my yard size. I ordered one single 12,000 sq ft bag this time.

**BASICALLY a re-review from the latest purchase March 2024***I as you can read from my previos review am a Scott's fan , not with the AMAZON SUPPLIED version of mossex.As another poster mentioned that they thought that this supply was different then what you buy in home depot.It is obviously true, as my neighbor and I found out.He bought it at home depot and myself here, but the results were super different.You can see in the pictures that my moss was at best damaged and is making a come back, his is all dead, turned black as it should.We both happen to put our versions down on our lawns the same day which was the day before a 3 day series of rain here in the Boston suburbs.Unfortunately my version appears to be defective/old stick, I love scotts products, NOT Loving the obvious fact I was sent a defective or out of date stock.Now I have to figure out what to apply without killing my lawnThis is all being sold by Scott so really puzzled as to why this happened.Last time I will purchase from scotts on Amazon as it obvious you are taking a chance on getting good stock.Not the end of the world , but what a pain in the backside as I trusted scotts to send a working product.----'----‐----------------------------------------Pre covid this stuff worked great if you did the work that is to first scrap away/rake away as much moss as possible.The last two users, doing the above only had a 50/50 result.That is in some places it worked great some very little results.I use there products starting in the spring through the fall , using pre emergints , fertilizers , beetle control, etc.It's truly disappointing that post covid the product dosent work as well as pre covid.Unfortunately looks like I will have to explore other products

I've read the many reviews about this product not killing weeds and/or burning good grass. After 5+ years of applying this Weed and Feed, I'm pretty satisfied with the results. Yes, I've burned my grass in places when I used more than the recommended amount. But when I've followed the application instructions precisely, I've had pretty good results. I have virtually no clover and no dandelions in my half acre yard. That didn't happen after the first year, but over a few years I think the cumulative effect has produced a pretty good yard. If I could afford to water my grass, it would look better but that gets expensive real fast. I will continue to buy this Scott's Weed and Feed on Amazon where I seem to find the best prices.
