Pedal SPD WELLGO W-01 Double Sided Black/Silver

I do bike maintenance for my club and have sold about 20 pairs of these pedals to people looking for a reliable clip in pedal for a reasonable price. First, at their lowest tension setting, they are much easier to clip in and exit compared to Shimano pedals which at minimum tension are still too tight for many cyclists, especially women. Yet you can set the tension for any level of cyclist so they work for everybody. They are very durable as in all these years no one has come to me with a failed unit. They are much lighter at only 300 grams than Shimano pedals and clear mud and debris as well as any other pedal out there. Maybe Shimano can take more abuse in very aggressive mountain biking applications but these are rugged enough for most people and you save money and are faster. The 98A cleat that comes with this pedal is compatible to the Shimano SH-56 for use on either pedals but there is about 4 clicks difference in tensions settings to get them equal. I do not recommend the Shimano SH-51 cleat for anything but racing as they require a non anatomical horizontal foot rotation to release vs a natural out and up motion.

Put it on my road bike seven months ago and rode 500 miles in that time. Seemed great until an annoying tick developed in the left peddle. I have tightened it as much as I could get away with and with most revolutions under power there is still a tick. Back to buying Shimano peddles for me.

These are compatible with the Favero Assioma power meter pedal spindle. I know have a power meter on my gravel bike!
