✮*•✨CONTROL ME is Mafia Romance done perfectly!!!!✨•*✯
When I said in my review for the previous book in this series that Author Michelle Heard had improved on her mafia perfection if it were even possible with DESTROY ME, book one in CORRUPTED ROYALS, then I stand corrected because she has once again set me on my backside with CONTROL ME. This is a perfectly written enemies-to-lovers age-gap mafia romance and once started, there was no putting this baby down that’s for sure!I fell in love with the characters of Abigail Sartori and Instructor Nikolai from the moment they appeared in Misha and Aurora’s book and I couldn’t wait to get my grubby mitts on their story. Ms Heard did them a resounding justice and it was just superbly, beautifully and sympathetically written. As always with her dark mafia romances though, the characters go through some fiercely gruelling situations, so check the trigger warnings and don’t be complaining that you weren’t warned. I have my own limits, so it’s on me if I don’t heed, and can’t deal.To me, the title of CONTROL ME for Abbie’s book was irony at it’s best. There was nothing to control the impulsivity of her behaviour and it was her convincing Aurora to sneak out and into a nightclub that sparked Rara’s first meeting with Misha. Her impromptu comments and flirting with Instructor Nikolai made her a legend as far as I was concerned and I absolutely admired her sense of humour. The more frustrated he got, the more she ramped up her efforts! The chemistry was explosive 💣💥 Her strength though, even in her darkest moments in the aftermath of her trauma had me in tears, and I absolutely adored Nikolai even more as he showed his unconditional love and devotion to his mafia princess who had turned everything he believed about love and life on it’s head.Nikolai Vetrov, *insert pathetic swooning sigh here*, what a man, what a unicorn! Deadly, precise and oh-so-perfectly-in-love with his woman. Like his father before him, once fallen, nothing and no one is going to get in the way of the eternity he wants to spend with the one he loves. Abbie frustrated the hell out of him and it made for hilarious reading at times. She was the thorn under his skin that dug in so hard, there was no getting her out, nor did he want to.What I loved so hard was to revisit much loved characters from Ms Heard’s earlier series. I can only describe the feeling as pure unadulterated bliss. So much excitement to see Damien Vetrov and Winter Hemsley as Nikolai’s parents, yet still as deadly and ruthless as always. Parents who will go to war with other families for daring to attack one of theirs. The reading dream that I never knew I had, had been realised and I was in heaven. Incidentally, if you’re wanting to check out the parentals’ story, it’s book one in Ms Heard’s Saints series: MERCILESS SAINT.Once again, I can only say that CONTROL ME is pure writing perfection, and that is what my review is all about. 5-high-amazing-mafia-action-Stars! ✨•*✯

Not what the title implies, but not bad.
I'm a little on the fence with this one. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad story and it's an easy, entertaining read. So why the fence? It's two-fold, but related.First - Character personality changes. The MFC (h) is a mafia princess, but not a virgin. She's sassy, and flirty, but is initially portrayed as having submissive kinks and daddy kink/issues. (Thus the title.) The MMC (H) has Bratva ties; a confirmed batchelor who has no time or interest in complicating it with a woman. He's initially portrayed as a dominant, alpha who likes control and demands respect. Sadly, once he starts caring (and this is almost midway in the book) it seemed more like she was topping him from the bottom. And this brings me to the second part - The title "Control Me", I took as referring to the MFC; In fact, the book blurb implies it. And in the beginning, it fits. But ultimately, with the personality switches previously mentioned, it appeared more like she had the control or that he let her have it.Each finds the other attractive, but while she prefers older men, he thinks she's too young, even for just a fling. The initial banter between the two was great...provocative. I loved how she drove him crazy in the beginning and how he put her in her place for not taking her trainng at St. Monarchs serious. The push and pull, even through their first sexual encounter, is in keeping with both their character personality traits and fits the book title. It's not the fact that he would do anything for her after he begins to care (I loved that), it's more you got the impression that if she were to take advantage of him and walk all over him, he'd let her...And that is NOT a dominant, alpha man who likes control. Even their bedroom shenanigans after the switch seem more like just role play than true dominance/submission. As I said topping from the bottom. If you love a romance where the male is gaga over his woman (to the point of being sappy), and also like just a bit of mafia excitement (a kidnapping/assassination attempt, rescue from an unwanted marriage), then you will absolutely love ths story. For me, I would have liked to have seen more of what the title implied...dominance and control on the H's part. 3.5 stars for me...but other readers may like this one more.

LOVE THE COUPLE
The story line and characters are 💯 % a 5 star ⭐️ But my only complaint which isn’t a complaint against the author since she gives warnings . As the trigger warning says there’s rape in the book and than the healing ❤️🩹 where it’s mentioned in the aftermath while having to tell people about it . I only give this book a 4 because Rape in books , it’s been way over done ! There are many ways to make a female character suffer without it being rape ! So when I am reading a series and don’t want to skip books that give you the timeframe for other books . I will always have a hard time seeing how many romance books choose this plot. As some point I wonder why more women don’t speak out about it being to saturated in books & movies 🎥. I do read Dark romance at times but even those books don’t always use rape !But when I read dark romance I know to prepare myself for a very emotional read ! When I’m in the mood for something deeper .But my everyday reading . Well we can only read so many books back to back with assault in them ! ~Bibliophile SusanBooksugargetkissed 💋 📕

The story was amazing, wasn't expecting at all how everything happened. Beware of the triggers please! Another classical book in Michelle's style of writing. I recommend.

Brilliant book 2. MUST READ!!
This is the 2nd book in this series and its fantastic 5 star read all the way I loved it.Corrupted Royals is book 2 is a age gap, mafia romance book that has touch her and die vibes and protection/ possessive vibes that this series is awesome at. This is Nikolai and Abbis story and this will break your heart.Abbi knows she has to put up with this world because its how she was raised and she knows an arranged marriage is in her future, but this doesn't top her from being sexy and sassy as hell with Nikolai and pushing all his buttons.Nikolai is just filling in at the academy and knows it won't be long before he leaves only he was not expecting this woman to break down his walls completely. ( NO SPOILERS )I loved these characters like the others and I loved how much chemistry they had. This opposites attract romance was fantastic and I couldn't stop reading about these two. I loved how Nikolai would fight till the death for her to make her safe and at times these two pulled at my heart strings. This story flows throughout perfectly. This is an opposites attract, age gap, forbidden romance read that I highly recommend reading and I can't wait to read book 3 in this series because I'm totally gripped inside this world.Check the trigger warnings because there is some heavy topics.

Beautiful ❤
This book was a combination of just what I needed. Dark Romance + Grumpy-sunshine + Nicolai's book? Count me in! 🙌🏻Ever since I knew about the Sinners series, I had been waiting for Nicolai's book, but it wasn't included in that series. So when I saw that Nicolai's book was in this series, I was very excited. And this book lived upto that excitement! Ugh! I love them so much! The plot was also very good. Love how Abbie's trauma was dealt with, and her character was so amazing! Absolutely loved her!
