This is the best Heat Diffuser...ever
I bought one of these Truka heat diffusers over 10 years ago, and it's still going strong. So I have bought another! They are a devil to keep clean but that does not affect its ability. I use them on my solid fuel appliance to warm up food especially when using ceramic tableware plates/bowls etc so the direct heat from the appliance won't crack or break them. You can also do this if you warm up food in plates or dishes on your gas or electric cooker, (not induction - sorry) works great with a Tagine. When stove top cooking/reheating, keep the flame within the rim of the diffuser, and it will gently heat to prevent sticking or burning. The photos show my old diffuser on top my solid fuel appliance, gently warming up my leftover dinner in a standard ceramic bowl. I use my solid fuel appliace to multi task whenever I can, cooking stews, boiling the kettle, and now warming up my dinner - using the diffuser saves me firing up the microwave, even if it does take longer; just simply plan ahead :^))

Works very well. And my custards are much better when using it

Great camping addition
I used it to good effect when diffusing the save flame from my camping stove, meaning I had more control and a more even cooking process in the typically thin camping cookware.

works very well
Bought this to use on my gas BBQ as the flame discolours the pans and found this item perfect and makes the flame control so much better. Bought a second one for top burner on my Lacanche cooker as the burners are very powerful and this works perfectly and gives greater control on simmer.

Impossible to clean.....
I wanted something to reduce the heat from the gas ring to allow me to simmer casseroles - and I want to try making a tajine. Also I didn't want a handle in case it got too hot and I'd burn myself accidentally. It does work, but for me, not being to clean it is an issue. I've only used it a few times and it's already stained. I've soaked it, scrubbed it, the stains just won't go.

Very useful
If you want to cook something on a low heat and your gas flame won't go low enough this is so useful. I use it for pilau rice. You can leave the pan on without having to worry that it's going to stick and burn. Brilliant. This is one I bought for my son as he's been coveting my old one for years. Mine is still working as well as ever.

Does just what you need it to do.
I do a lot of casserole/slow cooking using Le Cruset casseroles and sometime I found that the long and low cooking style I wanted resulted in the casserole sticking at the centre. I bought this heat diffuser to help spread the heat and it does just what I needed it to do. Light but sturdy it looks as if it is going to last some time and the double layer of tine makes it more robust than single layer diffusers. No more sticking or burning!!

Great product
Brilliant for simmering a nice stew, the heat dispersal allows it to cook slowly with no hot spots or sticking to the bottom of the pan
