Legendary Pastries are my new fav healthier snack!
Closest thing to a healthier pop tart I’ve ever found. I discovered Legendary Pastries at a 7/11 and gave one a try. I was really impressed and so ordered more on Amazon. The best flavors I’ve tried so far are the chocolate and blueberry pastries, and the cinnamon roll is shockingly good. The brown sugar cinnamon pastries aren’t as good of a flavor as the ones I previously mentioned, but it’s not bad either. These are super satisfying with the high protein and high fiber, perfect for people like me who stay hungry all day. Do they taste like real pop tarts? Not quite. But then again, real pop tarts aren’t loaded with protein, don’t keep you feeling full for long, and are full of sugar. These are way better than other brands of protein bars I’ve tried such as Quest. The chocolate ones are actually like a nice treat to have, almost like a dessert. The price is high but think about what all you get in one pastry- lots of protein and helps you to feel full so you don’t eat a bunch of other junk instead. If you want a decadent sugary dessert, this product probably isn’t for you. If you want high protein, high fiber, help with feeling more full, and are open minded to a healthier option, this is totally for you.

These are what pop tarts should be.
While this is for the hot fudge ones, I have tried the blueberry, chocolate, cinnamon and strawberry too.I don't know how I missed out on these as a protein 'bar'. They are amazingly good. Blueberry and hot fudge are the best. Cinnamon next then strawberry then chocolate. The pastry is thick, but the mouth feel and taste are like a pie crust. Yes, they are not actual pie or poptart, I do not like poptarts - but it's like eating a really really good poptart. For protein and lower carb, these are my absolute favorite. I recommend you go to a local store if they have them and try them first to see before getting a box, but they are more expensive in the store. I always have them cold.If you are wondering between these and the brand's pastry rolls - these are better. Well over the rolls.5 stars - just the most excellent protein treat I've ever had.

Nice Snack/Treat Alternative
Whoever thought these things up was a GENIUS! For any of us who want to ensure we're getting enough protein in our diet, but really like our snack foods, this is a nice option. With 20 grams of protein in each packet these are a viable alternative snack for the kids AND the adults! They aren't exactly the same as a Pop Tart...but, then, a Pop Tart doesn't have the nutrition benefits that Legendary provides in their snacks. Take it out of the packaging, pop it in the microwave (I wouldn't try the toaster as the "frosting" will melt into the toaster) for 15 - 20 seconds (depending on your microwave), and you have a nice afternoon treat with a glass of milk (for the kids) or a cup of coffee/tea (for you)! You can eat them in the morning for breakfast if you like or a late night/bedtime snack. I love the cinnamon as well as the double chocolate/chocolate cake. I haven't tried the berry ones as I'm really particular about berries (not a strawberry or blueberry fan). I wouldn't suggest eating these without heating them as the taste comes out when they're warmed up!I gave these 4 stars versus 5 because the "frosting" isn't consistent. When I say that I mean that sometimes nearly the entire top is covered and sometimes there is a strip about 1" wide running down the middle. Other than that (as I don't buy these for the "frosting"), they're a nice, satisfying treat with a guaranteed minimum of 20 grams of protein. Not too shabby if I do say so myself!

A taste-great sugar-free way to enjoy "pop tarts" type things again -
These are excellent for those of that loved Pop Tarts, but now can't have the huge amount of sugar in them. The "simple" pop tarts weren't low sugar enough, and didn't taste very good. These alternatives taste great, are fun to eat, but they are much more expensive. I try to buy them in bulk when on sale, as I love having all of the flavors around, and they don't spike my blood sugar up. As a diabetic, these are fantastic!

Texture is good, but the flavor…Updated
Update 3/29/23: the company reached out to me and offered to send me another flavor free of charge. I went with strawberry and I actually like it a lot, it seems to have less of an artificial sweetener flavor to me! I also found a variety pack on a different website and am looking forward to trying more. I updated to 5 stars because of the customer service, I’m very happy I was able to find a flavor I like!Original review: I wanted so desperately to like these! I was diagnosed with celiac about 5 years ago and have been dying for a real icing-covered pop tart. I tempered my expectations understanding that this is a “health food”, aimed for low carb/high protein, so I knew it wouldn’t be like a real pop tart. At first I was pleasantly surprised, I actually really like the texture, way better than a traditional protein bar. But the flavor wasn’t, great. I could kind of taste the blueberries, but after about half the pastry all I could taste was the erithrytol (sp?)/sucralose. I’d like to try another flavor, but the box is pretty expensive, and if you don’t like it you now have seven more of them. I think the company would do well to offer a variety pack so you could try out a few flavors, but as it stands I’m hesitant to buy a whole box to just try another flavor.TLDR, if you’re used to/don’t mind the flavor of sugar replacers I’d say give it a try, the texture really is nice and very soft. But ultimately all I could really taste was artificial sweetener :(
