Wayfayrer Food - Vegetable Curry

Amazing food. It's worth noting that most shops sell these for about £4.49 and in Cotswolds, with my 15% discount (they give so man; National Trust, climbing etc) they are cheaper then Amazon BUT this is not about the price, this is about the food itself. These taste great and they are really fresh. The best bit it I use a jet boiler to cook them (really I'm warming them up) then use some of the boiling water for coffee. Eat the food straight out of the packet and the rest of the boiling water is used to clean the spoon etc. I do this when just normal camping too. This weekend with the kids. Yes, it's a little more expensive then if I just got off my lazy ass and did some real cooking but seriously, it's fun to not to bother with all he usual camping admin AND they really do taste good. Even my little fussy little critters think so - was kinda hoping they would leave me some. Nope!! (This goes for all the recipes).

Prepared for children's camping. The product itself has no issues, but it is a bit expensive, and there are not many flavor options. I hope the seller can offer more flavors in the future.

Food in a packet is very easy to heat, thanks to the appropriate packaging, you can also warm it up in water.The food is very tasty and suitable for long hikes in the mountains because it gives a lot of energy only the one problem is they are very heavy if you are going to go a long climb,hikes you must carefully consider how many kilograms you want to have in your backpack.

These are great for walks and camping, nice and compact, easy to use as taste great (well anything does after spending all day on the hills). However, for the amount of actual food you get (3/4 of a standard tin), they are very over-priced and not good value for money at all. Many of the variety packs are all the same flavour, rather than a mix so to avoid getting bored you have to buy them separately. Additionally the actual range of meals is very limited. Considering they are the 'official' camping meals of the D of E programme, I think this should be re-assessed. The students partaking and encouraged to buy the through the programme are are being exploited . When you're talking on average £6-£7 a bag meal, this can easily add up and it'll cost you a small fortune over a couple of days. There are plenty of other competitors out there who produce similar items for sport, bodybuilding, diet convenience (i.e. Huel etc.) and a much better price with a great range of products. I'd recommend you look elsewhere.

Great for camping as they are filling and good nutrition

sorry to all those that think this is a nice veg curry but this product is not very tasty and certainly doesn't taste like a curry more like a tasteless stew...but at least it wasn't mouldy...

I often carry one of these as my emergency food or as a treat after a few meals of pasta. I find the flavours in these packs authentic and good.

Heavier than dried food, tastes better and cost less.
