Does The Job Well Albeit A Bit Pricey (ditch the plaster ground upon opening box though!!)
We built our home 40 years ago and used Delta/Kohler brands for kitchen and baths. I must say neither of those products have had a screwdriver touch them since placed into service. For some reason I chose Moen 2520 for our current bath remodels. It is a very nice unit and as easy as any to install. Cannot for the life of me figure out why it costs twice as much as the Delta though. And my bad, I could have got in as "open box" on eBay for about $50. The only issue with this product is the one that plagues so many purchasers. If you follow the instructions the valve handle will be sticking out a ridiculous amount from the trim plate. The solution is to fully "dry" assemble the valve with trim, then install proper backing to ensure all comes out looking good. I like to have the operating handle just clear the trim plate screws, and no more. Then.....nice looking installation!

MOEN 2520 M-Pact Posi-Temp Pressure Balancing Shower Rough-in Valve - for Copper Pipes
Purchased a Moen Asceri Posi-Temp Single Handle Tub & Shower Trim Kit quite some time ago but neglected to buy the rough in valve which was not included. This product is very well made but before purchasing it is important to know if you have copper pipes, if you do you would need to purchase this 2520 Pressure Balancing Valve (Copper connections are typically soldered). Otherwise the Moen 2510 Posi-Temp Pressure Balancing Tub and Shower Valve that has an IPS (Iron Pipe Size) and is threaded would be the correct one for you to purchase. Both models have 1/2 " connections and both come with Moen's Limited Lifetime Warranty for residential use.

Perfect
Needed to install a new one as my old valve stem broke off inside the old one and i damaged it. Works like new!!

Robust
Good casting/well manufactured. Puts out much more from the hot side than from the cold, so somewhat difficult to adjust. The fact that our hot-cold supplies are 'reversed' and the cartridge needed to be rotated may have something to do with this, but you'd think the operation would be symmetrical regardless of which side of the valve the specific water temps entered. And, of course, the flow is fixed. But the quality looks very good, and cartridge replacement, when/if required, is straightforward. Like the product overall.

Another quality Moen product
This valve seems to have worked like a charm for our shower re-build project. Our water pipes are copper so I guessed that this would be the appropriate valve and the plumber installed it with no issues. Once the shower was done and everything tiled, we turned on the shower to find that the hot and cold were switched from the markings on the handle. My first reaction was disappointment that we'd have to either tear the wall apart or live with the hookups reversed. WRONG. I took a quick look online to see if this happened to anyone else and quickly found that all I needed to do was to rotate the internal valve 180-degrees. It took about five minutes to fix with only an allen-wrench, pliers, and a screwdriver. So far I have been very happy with this valve and I think very highly of all Moen products and their outstanding reputation for quality and service.

This Is the Valve I Was Looking For
My old single handle tub valve was very finicky in setting the water temperature. The slightest change in the handle position changed the temperature of the water from cold to hot. There was no in-between. This valve is very generous in its range of temperatures and ease of control. I wish I had replaced the old valve long ago. There is no adjusting the volume of water with this valve but now that I have gotten used to it, I don't miss that feature at all. I can still control the volume of water with the shower head.
