Good sized chunks
Weber have a good reputation for consistent quality and this product doesn't deviate. These were nice, large chunks so they smoked well. The smell/taste was strong, but not overpowering. I've only used these with beef (short ribs, steak, brisket) and it imparts an almost bacon-like taste. These were £10 a bag when I got them, which I'd say was good value for money. There were a lot of chunks in the bag and I only use maybe three chunks per cook, so it's lasted a while.

Subtle, sweet smoke that transforms your BBQ – top quality!
These Weber Applewood chunks are a BBQ game-changer. I’ve used them on both charcoal and gas grills, and the mellow, slightly fruity aroma they give off works brilliantly with pork, chicken, and even veg. The flavour is noticeable without being overpowering – ideal if you're looking for that gentle, classic smoke enhancement. The chunks are a good size, well-seasoned, and burn slowly for a long-lasting effect. I’ve also used them for a low-and-slow brisket and they performed brilliantly. You pay a little more for the Weber name, but the consistent quality and reliable results make it well worth it in my opinion. Great to see they’re sustainably sourced too – always a plus!

Great quality wood chunks
This turned out to be a good buy, even if it's a little pricey for some wood chunks. Makes for beautiful smokey flavour. If you are looking to smoke some meat and want good, clean smoke... This is it. I'd buy it again.

Decent Weber hickory chunks for all kinds of meat.
Effective, sweet, abundant smoke from the ever-reliable Weber range. Great for all meats, and not as heavy or enduring as mesquite, of which you smell for days.

Great for a bit of winter smoking
I got these to support my new found love for smoking meats. Having had the wood chips from Weber in the past, i thought I would try and chunks, for a longer smoke and slower burn.So far I have tried these on both baby back ribs, and chicken wings and they work well with both. (ribs picture attached). These chunks give a nice subtle smokey flavour to the ribs, and help to create a lovely bark and colour on the outside. They give a lovely smoke ring, using only 1 chunk for a 6 hour rib cook (the 3-2-1 method for those in the know). Fantastic results. Will definitely be using again. The bag itself is a decent size, and will last for a good number of cooks (you only need 1-2 bits). Remember, your meat will only take on smoke for the first few hours, so don't waste your wood by adding after that time. The packaging provided is great, tough bag with a resealable top - semi plastic feel which means it should keep water out - find to be kept in the shed or similar.overall, great product, good price, quick and convenient delivery - would recommend.

Smokey goodness
Having recently purchased a Weber BBQ I've taken my BBQing to another level. These wood chunks up the game even further..I've started doing slow cooks and these work well with pork and chicken. Adding three or four chunks while 8hr cooking adds great flavour. I like to use these with a pork butt or ribs mainly. They add a nice smokey hit with a great smoke ring on the pork butt. I don't bother soaking them in water like some suggest just add them to the BBQ in the first few hours of smoking/ cooking and they do the job perfectly and last a while too. I will definitely buy more when these run out but at three or four pieces per 8ht cook they'll probably last the rest of the year. Grab some, you won't be disappointed.
